Aga Khan Academies
The position
Vegetarian Cook will be responsible for
developing new concepts and recipes of Vegetarian & Vegan products
and ensure consistency in the quality to
maximize student satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop
and execute Vegetarian and Vegan menu that are palatable to the school
community with locally available ingredients.
- Ensure
adherence to set standards of food quality, hygiene, preparation, and
presentation.
- Estimates
daily production needs and communicates production needs to Head cook .
- Keep
abreast of latest trends & developments in the school communities
eating habits, different food products, new cuisine, and leverage this
knowledge in various projects.
- Check
the quality and availability of raw ingredients for smooth vegetarian
dishes preparation.
- Ensure
buffets/food displays are set up and maintained professionally and looks
inviting.
- Be
responsible for the hygiene standards of the kitchen, storage areas,
equipment, and machinery.
- Ensure
compliance with the occupation health and safety regulations
- Any
other duties as assigned to you
The requirements
- A
Technician certificate in Catering
- At
least 3 years’ experience as a cook
- Proficient
in Microsoft Office programmes
- English
