Responsibilities

Develop a comprehensive ICT strategy
to support defined organizational needs and objectives;

Promote best practice in the
development of information systems;
·
Supporting the Head of Finance in the
establishment, development and communication of the organization’s ICT and
Business Systems strategies
·
Deliver an effective, resilient and
responsive ICT support service to a wide range of MSC users and stakeholders;

Lead, manage, motivate and develop
ICT team
·
Schedule, control, and manage
delivery of ICT provision, support, hardware, and developments in a timely,
cost effective, and efficient way, balancing the use of in- house and external
resources appropriately
·
Ensure ICT developments and new
software/hardware are fit for purpose and deliver the intended benefits
·
Ensure that ICT systems and
procedures promote data and information security and business continuity, in
line with best practice and relevant external standard
·
Champion the effective use of ICT
throughout the business to enhance individual and organizational performance
and efficiency
·
Proactively identify, anticipate and
resolve MSC’s ICT needs in a systematic, planned and timely manner to ensure
availability and reliability
·
Work with the supply chain management
to procure a wide range of ICTs and related services and manage suppliers and
third party service providers to ensure the highest levels of quality and
customer service; budgeting & monitoring expenditure of the same
·
Direct, support and develop all ICT
staff and provide advice to Director of HR on general ICT training and
development requirements for the wider organization with the aim of raising
skills, standards and awareness in the use of ICT applications
·
Working with “super users” in all
departments to ensure the use of consistent, high standards in the management
of information;
·
Providing support to all users,
listening to concerns and identifying issues, finding and implementing
solutions; providing “business analyst” skills to all user departments
Qualifications
·
Bachelor’s Degree in IT from a
recognized University
·
A recognized professional ICT qualification
preferably Microsoft Certification.
·
At least ten (10) years’ experience,
five (5) years spent at senior management level in significant organization
·
Experience in deployment &
management of ERP Systems.
·
Excellent working knowledge with
Microsoft SQL database or its equivalent
·
Knowledge of SAP is an added
advantage
Audit, Risk & Compliance Manager
Reporting functionally to the Audit
Committee of the Board and administratively to the Chief Executive Officer,
S/He will be responsible for generating the Company’s overall internal control
and risk management of its operations and to independently perform risk based
audits in line with the agreed audit plan to identify and assess the
effectiveness of controls accuracy of financial records, systems and efficiency
of operation risk management and compliance with Government regulations

Planning of financial, regulatory,
compliance and/or operational audits for MSC;
·
Coordinate work with Legal, Security
Services, SHE, Quality Assurance and other control-related
activities/functions;
·
Conduct risk assessments and identify
controls in place to mitigate identified risks.
·
Perform audit procedures to verify
that controls are operating through adequate testing and interviewing
techniques.
·
Analyze and conclude on effectiveness
and efficiency of the control environment.
·
Identify control gaps and
opportunities for improvement.
·
Document the results of audit work in
accordance with company policies and other relevant international standards
·
Prepare timely audit reports for
executive management, the Board Audit Committee and the entire Board of
Directors.
·
Assess, evaluate and promote
compliance to internal MSC policies.
·
Contribute, as appropriate, in the
year-end financial audit with the external auditor.
·
Provide advice on internal control
and participate in enhancing internal audit standards and practices within MSC
·
Provide feedback on performance of
Internal Auditors, on audit assignments, as applicable.
·
Carry out periodic risk assessment on
information systems, identify information security risks and exposures, and
develop risk assessment strategies in order to determine information systems
security needs
·
Develop, revise, manage and enforce
the necessary information systems (IS) security policies, standards and
controls and regulatory controls across multiple platforms; evaluate roles and
access levels, carry out Information Security Incident management.
·
Deliver computer forensic services as
required and carry out periodic vulnerability and penetration tests in order to
conform to audit standards and requirements.
·
Carry out periodic business impact
assessments; manage Business Continuity Planning, implementation and review and
co-ordinate ICT disaster recovery planning and testing activities
·
Develop and carry out Information
Systems user privacy and security training and awareness programs in order to
increase and enhance user information security literacy levels
Qualifications
·
Bachelor’s Degree in Business
Management, Bachelor of Commerce – Finance Option
·
Certified Information Systems Auditor
(CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or
Certified Information Systems Security Manager (CISM) is desirable and a
definite advantage
·
A Master’s Degree in Business
Management and or a related field • Certified Information Systems Auditor is an
added advantage
·
At least ten (10) years’ experience,
five (5) years spent at senior management level in significant organization.
·

Head of Human Resources
Responsible for providing leadership
and strategic direction for the HR function, maximizing the opportunity to
build, develop, inspire and retain a team supportive of our Vision and workforce
plan in line with MSC strategy and succeeding change management initiatives.
Responsibilities

Provide ongoing strategy guidance,
interpretation and technical support to management in all area of Human
resources management
·
Advise on effective and timely
recruitment processes in the hiring, developing and retaining the best talent
available to support strategic human resources needs
·
Provide leadership and support to
line managers to ensure implementation of Human Resources policies and
procedures throughout in all the departments
·
Provide direction and oversight on
policies and procedures in respect of staff recruitment, disciplinary,
benefits, rewards, contracting, severance, grievances, training and
development, performance management, talent management and succession planning
·
Support line managers and staff to
understand and implement effective performance management based on MSC
performance management system
·
Timely implementation of emerging
labour relations issues to maintain a harmonious working relationship with the
trade unions and staff population in general.

Ensure compliance with all relevant
legislation requirements in executing all employee actions from hire to retire
by continuously studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation;
enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions from
time to time

Develop and maintain an innovative,
learning, technologically savvy and high performance culture in the

Qualifications

Head of Agriculture
Responsible for developing and
implementing strategies to ensure high quality Cane is provided to sustain
Factory throughput by use of most suitable economical crop production
techniques and ensure that farmers earn a decent return on their investment in
cane production
Responsibilities
·
Carry out adaptive research that
addresses the major challenges facing crop husbandry focusing on crop &
soil nutrition, crop protection, variety development, crop physiology and
quality assurance.
·
Responsible for the extension and
education of our farmers to ensure technology transfer of research findings and
proper agronomic husbandry practices are carried out to sustain crop production
·
Ensuring proper land preparation for
crop growth by ensuring machinery are available for end-users to maximize on
productivity and time
·
Ensure that the company fleet are
managed as required for efficient operations
·
Ensure the timely supply of the right
quality and quantity of cane to the factory to meet the organizations targets
as set out in the strategic plan.

Develop strategic alliances and
working relationships with stakeholders to ensure continued availability of
quality cane at low costs and of quality to meet the annual factory demands

Lead the formulation and
implementation of strategic and operational plans for the department that are

Qualifications

Responsible for providing leadership
to the Board’s Finance and Accounting Strategy, to optimize the Company’s
financial performance and strategic position, while coordinating operations,

accounting function by monitoring the day-to-day financial operations within

Company Secretary
Responsible for ensuring MSC’s
compliance with the standard of legal regulations and corporate governance are
maintained through Provision of Board Secretarial services, Legal advice, and
legal compliance with regards to operations,
Responsibilities
·
Provide high quality, professional
Board secretarial and legal support to enhance the administration of our
governance function and ensure compliance with Articles of association and
relevant statutory obligations.
·
Efficient administration of the
Company, particularly with regard to ensuring compliance with statutory and
regulatory requirements and ensuring that decisions of the Board of directors
are implemented
·
Act as the legal custodian and use of
MSC’s Company seal, legal documents, board and Board Committee minutes,
maintain statutory registers including the shares register and periodically
file returns with registrar of Companies, Capital Markets Authority and Nairobi
Securities Exchange
·
Convene and conduct Annual General
Meetings (AGMs) in accordance with the law
·
Provide legal advisory services to
all areas of the business with regard to contracts, Compliance, procurement,
securities regulatory and other areas of potential risk to the business.
·
Establish efficient and effective
insurance policies to protect MSC’s assets and earnings at the least cost
possible
·
Ensure all Company Contracts and
agreements safeguard MSC’s interest and protect the Company from contractual
risks.
Qualifications
·
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a
recognized University
·
A Master’s Degree in Law, Business
and or a related field
·
A post Graduate qualification in Law
from the Kenya School of law
·
An advocate of the High Court of
Kenya
·
Valid Membership to the Law Society
of Kenya

Certified Public Secretary of Kenya

·
Valid Membership to the Institute of

·
