The purpose of the job is to develop and implement risk management and control framework in accordance with the international Auditing standards to avert fraud, ensure compliance with set procedures and control for prudent utilization of resources of the job:

Responsibilities:

·         Develop internal audit work plans in conjunction with the Chief Internal Auditor after assessment of organizational activities to ensure proper coordination for smooth operation of the division
·         Develop and implement sound audit management systems in accordance with the international Auditing standards to ensure proper auditing procedures and practices
·         Allocate duties and supervise audit staff to ensure they meet the expected standards for quality and reliable audit reports
·         Carry out training needs assessment for audit staff by identified existing auditing skills gap to ensure they are adequately addressed for achievement of the divisional goals
·         Prepare public investment reports in conjunction with the Chief Internal Auditor through scrutiny of organizational financial reports to ensure compliance with the public finance management Act.

·         Strategic Management Course lasting not less than 6 weeks from a recognized institution
·         Nine (9) years of work experience with a minimum of three (3) years serving as a Senior Internal Auditor or a comparable position in handling internal audit department in a public institution or its equivalent
·         Budgeting and knowledge of relevant legislations
·         Knowledge of professional standards
·         Knowledge of accounting and auditing software packages

Senior ICT Officer (1post)

The purpose of this job is to provide leadership in the delivery of ICT (website, email, software and infrastructure) to clients within and outside the institute by formulating and implementing ICT policies, standards and strategies to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of ICT related functions.

Responsibilities 

·         Contribute in the formulation of institutional strategy and policy in accordance with the set standards, such as ICTA standards, to guide the implementation of ICT procedures, processes, programs and use of ICT equipment.
·         Coordinate implementation of ICT programs in accordance to the set standards, policies and strategies to ensure efficiency of ICT operations.

Qualifications

The purpose of this job is to communicate the Institute’s programmes, policies and activities internally and externally by developing and disseminating communication materials to enhance the image of the Institute and create awareness on the institutes programmes and activities

Responsibilities 

·         Develop and implement annual Public Relations and Communication Policy and Strategy for the institute by liaising with stakeholders and reviewing existing policies and strategies to guide the Communication framework hence improving the image of the Institute
·         Manage and coordinate the Institutes media processes including press briefs, press releases and publications to be disseminated to the public
·         Manage communication between the Institute and its stakeholders through social media channels and the Institutes website for effective and efficient information flow
·         Develop and manage a corporate communication resource base by maintaining all publications both print and electronic for use by stakeholders as well as for ensuring that institutional memory is retained
·         Coordinate and manage interactive public functions and events through participation in trade fairs, shows, open days and exhibitions to promote and publicise activities of the institute
