Human
Resource & Administration Manager -
Nairobi
The
Human Resource & Administration Manager will provide oversight to the human
resource and administration functions for MGIC in line with organizational
policies and guidelines.
Duties
& Responsibilities
- The
job holder will develop and update human resources policies and procedures
in line with acceptable labour laws,
- Manage
the recruitment processes in line with MGIC strategic and operational
plans.
- Oversee
the development and implementation of performance management
systems.
- Develops
and implements the staff training and development plans
- Manages
employee relations, welfare and benefits in accordance with the human
resource policy manual
- Manages
the operationalization and maintenance of staff records.
- Manage
and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (HR,
Administration & Logistics by improving coordination and communication
between support, program management and technical functions;
- Improve
the operational systems, processes and policies by enhancing the quality
of documentation, reporting, information flow and business processes;
- Play
a significant role in driving long-term planning and leading initiatives
geared towards operational excellence;
- Regularly
update the DFA on HR, Logistics and administration planning and
implementation progress;
- Oversee
monthly and quarterly assessments and performance forecasts of
organization's support function;
- Develop,
recommend and implement improvements to operations systems and
procedures;
- Increase
the effectiveness and efficiency of support services by improving
coordination and communication between support functions; and
- Contribute
to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy.
- Line
manage staff within the operations department namely, Administration
Officer, Logistics Officer and HR Officer.
Qualifications
- A
Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration or any other
relevant field.
- Post
graduate diploma in Human Resources Management.
- A
minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in human
resource management.
- Must
have proven strong HR systems and process skills
- Past
supervisory experience a must.
- Professional
HR qualification highly desirable
- Must
have proven strong HR systems and process skills
- Must
be a registered member of IHRM
- Working
experience in Donor Funded Institution is desirable.
