Job Profile:

We are seeking a dynamic sales professional to join our team. This individual will target Pan African
Customer/Multinational Customers, Virtual Network Providers and Virtual Internet Service providers and cultivate new relationships to provide revenue growth from existing and new customers.

The candidate should have an aptitude for the high tech communications industry and be highly motivated to increase sales and market penetration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stellar ability to Prospect & Generate New Leads
  • Drive the PAN African sales efforts intended for to the Pan African Customers and Virtual Service providers (VISP) at the same time assist Deputy General Manager in responding to price queries from ISPs and Telcos interested in WTL services
  • Assist General Manager to process Sales Orders (from order processing to billing) through ERP
  • Customers Profiling and ensure all potential Pan African customers (presence in at least 3 countries and with cross border requirements such as MPLS) are converted into revenue.
  • Manage the WTL price book to ensure that all prices are up to date and periodically distributed to customers.
  • Responsible for managing quotation, proposal tender and submit them to customers
  • Work with Marketing Team to ensure all branding requirements (promotional materials, website, profile and brochures) are dully and timely updated and addressed
  • Deputize for Deputy General Manager in all Sales Activities in case of his/her absence
  • Responsible for developing sales in the designated target market(s) by identifying new sales opportunities by contacting prospective customers by cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments.
  • Develops and implements actions to create additional opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell accounts to increase overall total customer spend with the company.
  • Assists in creating account plans and strategies to win new business from both new as well as existing customers.
  • Develops and manages customer relationships for assigned accounts in order to gain strategic positioning with decision makers, retain existing revenue and attain additional business.
  • Learns and develops further knowledge of new technologies and selling points which includes enhancing expertise in the company's product application technologies.
  • Translate customer requirements into an accurate sales quotation and/or proposal
  • Recognize & develop new opportunities within customer’s environment for multiple solution areas and work with the Technical team - Developing and presenting proposals designed to meet clients’ needs
  • Educate new & existing customers on the full suite of WTL solutions
  • Provide daily, weekly, monthly Sales reports of cold Calls & Prospects/Leads
  • Submit Orders and coordinate installs with projects team
  • Provide competitive data & help business in planning and pricing
  • Maintain accurate databases of customers, sales funnel & pipeline
  • Use the ERP for all sales activities
  • Provides accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities in order to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.
  • Timely weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual report

Minimum Qualification:

Preferred Education, Skills and Experience Education and Experience
  • Experience: >2 yrs
  • Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
  • Field Of Study: Business, marketing, or similar
  • Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize with good time management skills. Excellent communication skills; presentation skills must be very good
  • Analytical skills and ability to work with numbers
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision 2

Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
  • 2-3 years of sales experience, preferable 1-2 years in the telecom industry Experience in solution selling IP, data, and voice network services.
  • Experience in strategic, technical, and business communications application sales Experience with the Siebel forecasting system preferred.
  • Target Account Selling (or equivalent) is desired.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in selling to the close
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction.
  • Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Work Environment
  • Ability to travel regionally and/or nationally as required.
