Reporting to the General Manager (Technical)

Job Profile
  • Responsible for projects management in design, construction, commissioning and handing over to ensure that the company funds are efficiently utilized during all stages of the projects and that they are implemented in accordance with the contract so that they can meet the intended use at best quality.
  • Ensure proper running of all engineering projects in KPC through effective guidance to both staff in the Department and external suppliers/contractors.
  • Co-ordinate the design and construction of engineering projects and ensure they are executed in accordance with the contract in a professional manner to guarantee efficiency, cost effectiveness and timely completion.
  • Coordinating with other departments to achieve overall objectives of the Company.
  • Developing prudent departmental policies consistent with Company rules and regulations.
  • Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams to enable them develop, implement and evaluate strategic management plans and budgets aimed at improving performance standards and organisational effectiveness.

Person Profile

Overall Job Purpose: The jobholder will ensure that SAP modules are well implemented and utilized in the relevant business areas as a tool of working and also attend to any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

He/she will be responsible for the capture and analysis of new business requirements, design, configuration and testing of new and enhanced functionality within the SAP ERP environment including process improvement and configuring SAP business rules, master data maintenance, sap roles maintenance, and user support.

Facilitate interaction with other Departments on issues of SAP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing and documenting business processes with a view of continuous improvement. Configure, test, and analyze SAP IMG to implement the Company’s processes.

Overall Job Purpose: Responsible for administering the Company’s information systems security program, including planning, implementing and monitoring protective measures against unauthorized internal and external access.

Also responsible for establishing administrative, physical and procedural safeguards for centralized and shared or supported departments' information, hardware and software as appropriate and ensures that an effective plan for emergency or disaster contingency recovery is current and tested.

Overall Job purpose: Responsible for end-user support, routine maintenance and infrastructure support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install PC's and related hardware
  • Investigates hardware problems and performs minor system hardware and communication connection repairs

Overall Job Purpose: The Assistant Planning Manager will be the head of the Risk Management section and will be answerable to the Corporate Planning Manager for the efficient and effective coordination of risk management, and monitoring and evaluation activities of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and conceptualization which will entail establishment of the organizational environment identify and analyze corporate objectives in relation to expected outcomes and define the key elements for structuring risk.
  • Identification, analysis and evaluation of risk, business processes and projects through the use of appropriate tools and techniques, comprehensively determine impact, ratings and ranking of risks.
  • Develop and implement detailed risk action plans.
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation systems for business activities
  • Monitor and review risk management on a continuous basis to ensure new risks are detected and that the action plan is effectively implemented
  • Communication and reporting including circulation of the corporate risk register, action plans, milestone and all risk management reports.
  • Ensure robust, program-wide consistent M&E systems are in place and used effectively throughout the lifetime of the project.
  • Oversee the collection of high quality data to document project effect and impact. Contribute to ensuring adequate documentation is made for all activities undertaken in the course of the project.
  • Organize performance through performance contracts (PC) reviews and business process improvement programmes as well as undertake special investigations aimed at improving organizational effectiveness.
  • Implement strategies for creating a high performing organizational culture based on transparency, integrity, accountability, performance measurement and results to ensure that programme activities are undertaken on sound management principles and practices.
  • Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement and evaluate risk management plans as well as monitoring and evaluation systems aimed at improving organizational effectiveness.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff in order to ensure that candidates selected have the required job competencies and are provided with orientation and induction programme necessary for effective job performance.
  • Review incidents of violations against organizational policy and regulations as well as handle employee disputes and take appropriate action in line with approved policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Assess staff performance and determine training needs as well as design and implement training programmes aimed at equipping staff with appropriate job competencies in order to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Prepare concept papers, board papers, periodic progress reports and annual reports showing organizational achievements against planned targets as well as providing justification for performance variances and areas of improvement.

Security Manager - 1 Post

Overall Job Purpose: Responsible for overseeing security operation in the company including safeguarding the Right of Way, company assets, employees and their properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • The principal adviser to the company on all matters related to security
  • Responsible for the security policy making and implementation of all agreed security policies
  • Liaison with the Kenya Police on all police matters concerning Kenya Pipeline • Liaison with the provincial administration at all levels on administration matters concerning the security of the Kenya Pipeline

Corporate Communications Manager - 1 Post

Overall Job Purpose: Responsible for the promotion of the company’s corporate identity and enhancement of its brand image through communication and exposition of information by publicizing the company’s objectives, policies and activities and fostering good customer relations, research, surveys and promotions.

Key Responsibilities

  • In charge of Policies formulation.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies.
  • Develop and implement KPC Public Relations strategy, taking into account the internal and external changes in the market.
