The Supply Chain Planner position is a key role within our strategic plan for
the Group Shared Services Office.
An
enthusiastic self starter with a strong drive to improve existing processes and
systems is highly desired.
Excellent
organizational skills, ability to balance immediate & long term priorities
as well as exceptional multitasking skills are a necessity.
Key
objectives will be achieving / improving / exceeding targeted customer service
levels, managing inventory levels and targets, and managing supply and demand
within the Group’s Supply Chain.
Responsibilities Include:
Responsibilities Include:
- Plan and execute
procurement of Raw and Pack Materials from Global Suppliers
- Maintain strong
working relationships and communications directly with suppliers to
confirm production / shipping schedules and monitor open purchase orders
for all orders to ensure on-time deliveries
- Proactively
report product and material availability issues
- Maintain &
monitor Master Data;
- In consultation
with Product Development Team, ensure revision of essential system
planning data to ensure ERP (or legacy) system is effectively used for
planning future requirements
- Manage Inventory
through Stock Cover Reporting, Inventory reduction measurements, &
Inventory Revaluation,
- Manage Product
Life Cycles with clear action points for products at each life cycle
stage;
- Maintain
Purchase Order Status and shipment tracking information in ERP / legacy
system
- Proactively
provide supply status and shipment tracking to Regional Supply Chain
Points in East Africa,
- Lead,
Participate and Contribute to monthly Demand & Supply Planning process
- Coordinate
inventory planning and replenishment of raw materials, components, and
finished goods in conjunction with the Business Unit Teams
- Complete special
projects and assignments as requested
- Measure and
report related Supply Chain KPI’s
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree
in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or related field
- 2-3 years Supply
Chain experience. Planning experience strongly desired.
- Knowledge and
understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application
- Strong
analytical, planning and organizational skills
- Strong
interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written)
- Proficient in
Microsoft Office
- ERP system
experience highly desired
- Self-starter
with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to

- Flexible work
schedule
- Supply Chain
certification or certification in progress preferable (APICS CPIM/CSCP)
