‘The Client’ is seeking an information analyst to support data management, data validation and data analysis activities across a range of health and human services projects.

Required Abilities
  • To communicate in a clear and organized manner, both verbally and in writing
  • To analyze, organize and synthesize data, contextual information, ideas, and concepts, so that they can be presented and communicated clearly
  • To conduct literature reviews
  • To manage, assess, validate, integrate and analyze a variety of large and small data sets using SAS or STATA statistical software
  • To thoroughly and clearly document analytic methods and findings
  • To work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team of health and information professionals
  • To demonstrate a commitment to quality, problem solving, client service and responsiveness
Minimum Qualifications and Personal Requirements
  • MSc in statistics, epidemiology, economics, or other comparable analytic field of study
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with clients and team members from other disciplines
  • Ability to travel to a client work location in Kenya (infrequent)
  • Flexibility to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends depending on project circumstances
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently at home
  • Good internet connectivity at home
Assets (Non-Essential)
  • Ability to design research studies within the context of actual health programs and services
  • Ability to prepare manuscripts for publication
  • Ability to program and write scripts in SAS, STATA
  • Ease with numeric methods and management of large data sets
  • Familiarity with information privacy concepts, guidelines and standards
  • Familiarity with database concepts and data modeling
  • Familiarity with business intelligence concepts, methods, and tools including:
  1. Integration of data from a variety of sources using SSIS
  2. Implementation of OLAP cubes and other analytic data structures using SSAS
  3. Design of reports using SSRS
Salary & Benefits: 50,000/-120,000/- Neg
