Expression of Interest
For Consultancy to Conduct a Feasibility Study on a Property in an Urban Setting
1.0 Information
The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Staff Retirement Benefits Scheme (JKUATSRBS) was established in 2002. In keeping with sound investment guidelines, the scheme has since purchased an under developed parcel of land in an urban area and would like to optimally develop the same.
The Scheme would wish to call for reputable firms to undertake a feasibility study to enable it carry out the objective of developing the said property.
2.0 Objectives of the Expression of Interest
The Objective of this Expression of Interest is:
· To advise the Board of Trustees of the Pension Scheme on the viable options of developing the parcel of land.
· To conduct market research to enable the Board of Trustees determine the most economic and optimum use of the property.
3.0 Mandatory Requirements
Statutory requirements; interested firms are required to attach certified copies of the following documents;
· Certificate of Registration/Certificate of Incorporation
· Certificate of Tax Compliance, VAT, PIN Certificate
· Audited financial statement for the last 3 years
Failure to submit any of the documents above mentioned will result in disqualification. Any bidders exempted from any of the above items may provide proof of the same.
4.0 Information required in the Proposals
The proposal must include the following information in your written submission;
· Structure and ownership of your firm.
· Approach to be taken in undertaking the assignment.
· The relevant qualifications and experience of the team.
· The experience of the firm in carrying out similar assignments (avail contact details).
· All associated fees (and fee scales) in relation to your handling the exercise and basis for the same.
· Any other relevant information that may be useful to the Board of Trustees.
5.0 Expression of Interest Submission
Six Copies of your Expression of Interest in a sealed envelope should be submitted on or before 10th May 2011, at 12.00 noon, to the office of the Trust Secretary, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, New Administration Block, Juja 1st Floor. The submission should be clearly marked, “For JKU/2/5/75 Property Consultancy”.
