ASSISTANT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR (REF NO: ASA/C01/24)
Job Purpose:
The holder of this position is primarily responsible
for the administration of all ICT Infrastructure in line with SACCO business
requirements. The role holder will also ensure that ICT operations conform to
operational guidelines as per SACCO requirements and policies.
Reports To: ICT Manager
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage the ICT infrastructure and server of the SACCO
through planning and organizing systems for efficient and effective business
operations.
Develop and communicate disaster mitigation and
recovery plans in-case of system failure/malfunction in order to ensure
business continuity.
Support the DR site failovers as per outlined SACCO
schedules.
Liaising with the system vendors to implement new
processes and/or fixing system related issues to enhance operations.
Maintain an accurate account of all changes in the
System.
Ensuring that data and system backups are effectively
administered using local and/or cloud backups.
Maintain an accurate and up to date ICT Asset
Register.
Managing the surveillance system and ensuring that
reliable footage backups are accessible whenever required.
Ensuring that all workstations are always up and
working normally.
Supporting all departments in reports development
from the system.
Training users on deployed SACCO systems.
Ensuring 100% availability and security of the SACCO
ICT infrastructure.
Facilitate development, implementation and review of
ICT policies.
Coordinate the formulation and the implementation of
ICT projects.
Handling the Sacco’s main email by addressing and
responding to members mail as per set timelines.
Follow any other job-related instructions and perform
any other job related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
Appointment to the position will be made from persons
who:
Are holders of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science or IT related field;
Has a minimum of 3 years relevant experience, 2 of
which must be in a similar role.
Project Management skills will be an added advantage.
