Duties And Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor both students and staff in their area of specialization/expertise.

Provide leadership in their area of specialization/expertise.

Teach and train in their area of specialization/expertise at the appropriate level.

Mentor and develop teaching programs and skills in their area of specialization/expertise.

Develop research and academic programs in their area of specialization.

Manage and administer examinations and assessments.

Offer career guidance and mentorship to students

Terms of service

The Terms of service for these positions will be on Part Time Basis.

Payment
Will be based on the required teaching/practical contact hours with the students per programme as listed below;

 Certificate Programme – Kes. 800/= for one (1) instructional hour or two (2) contact hours in a tutorial design or open-learning designed – session, examined and results submitted.

 Diploma Programme – Kes. 1,000/= for one (1) instructional hour or two (2) contact hours in a tutorial design or open-learning designed – session, examined and results submitted.

 Technologists – Kes. 1,200/= for three (3) contact hours in a laboratory-designed or practicum session or five (5) contact hours in farm or similar practice, examined and results submitted.

 Undergraduate Programme – Kes. 1,200/= for one (1) instructional hour or two (2) contact hours in a tutorial design or open-learning designed – session, examined and results submitted.

 Masters Programme – Kes. 1,500/= for one (1) instructional hour or two (2) contact hours in a tutorial design or open-learning designed – session, examined and results submitted.

 PhD Programme – Kes. 1,800/= for one (1) instructional hour or two (2) contact hours in a tutorial design or open-learning designed – session, examined and results submitted.
