Job Description
Job Purpose
This position is responsible for overseeing the
day-to-day accounting operation, reporting, and compliance, and assisting the
Director of Finance to ensure the hotel’s financial strategy is implemented per
the Hotel’s policy & procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
To supervise daily accounting operations,
supervising, controlling, mentoring staff, ensuring teamwork and efficient and
effective operation.
To verify daily bank balances through review of bank
statements, prepare bank reconciliation and credit card reconciliation for
Director of Finance approval.
To verify the accuracy of the General Cashier report
and that revenue are daily deposited into the bank by the General Cashier.
To perform month-end accounts reconciliation of all
general ledger balances before issuing monthly financial statements. Report any
gaps or variances to the Director of Finance.
To review monthly reports like F&B reports, Cost Controller’s reports, etc. as per hotel policy
To ensure all tax payments and filing are respected
timely, and variances are resolved.
To prepare various monthly reports as required by
Management.
To assist the Director of Finance in reviewing CAPEX,
application of accounting policy, budgeting, financial analysis, and Ad hoc
duties.
To ensure proper filing of accounting records,
including contracts, and easy retrievals.
To keep updated with new regulations and Accor
policies.
Team Management
Interview, select, recruit direct report, and perform
induction program.
Conduct performance review and manages performance
issues that arise.
Develop and conduct staff training for team members
focusing on their development.
Continuously monitor team workload and propose
changes where necessary.
Other Responsibilities
Be aware of the hotel fire & life
safety/emergency procedures.
Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as
assigned by management.
Always maintain a high standard of Ethics, Personal
Appearance and Hygiene.
Participate in hotel initiatives on Environment and
Community development.
Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the
assigned by the Management.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience
Diploma/Degree in Accounting / Finance
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar capacity
Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English
language
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and relevant
hotel Finance and non-finance systems
Proficient in Indonesian and International Accounting
Standard, and Taxation.
