Animal Health Specialist, Feed Additives, Job in Kenya

The Animal Health Specialist will be instrumental in the education and promotion of our range of feed additives to the market while ensuring strict adherence to relevant livestock feeds laws and regulations.


Serve as a subject matter expert on animal health, nutrition and feed additives while staying updated on industry trends and research.

Develop and execute strategic plans for uptake of our feed additives to target markets.

Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to create compelling messaging, promotional materials and sales support tools.

Organize product demonstrations, trials and educational events to showcase the benefits and value proposition our products.

Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders to optimize product usage and performance.

Develop and deliver training programs, educational materials and technical resources for customers.

Ensure the company complies with relevant laws, regulations & industry standards and liaise with regulatory agencies/ industry associations to stay updated on relevant livestock feeds laws, regulations, and guidelines governing the sale, marketing and use of feed additives.

Conduct thorough assessments to ensure our products comply with all applicable regulatory requirements in the target markets.

Prepare and submit registration applications and documentation to regulatory authorities for product approval and certification.

Collaborate with internal teams to establish and maintain robust quality management systems and documentation processes.

Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities; Develop and implement effective strategies to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals.

Monitor market trends, competitor activities and regulatory developments related to animal health and livestock feeds.

Provide regular reports and updates on market conditions and sales performance to inform strategic decision-making.

Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts and strategic partners to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction.

Offer insights, recommendations and value-added services to maximize customer success and retention.


Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural Science, or related field.

Experience in sales, business development, or account management within the animal feeds, animal health, nutrition or agricultural industry.

Strong technical knowledge of livestock production, animal nutrition and feed additives.

Strong understanding of livestock feeds laws, regulations and guidelines, with the ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements effectively.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility with diverse stakeholders.

Strategic thinking, problem-solving skills and ability to identify opportunities, anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions.
