The team is now hiring an Accountant, Business Finance to join the Finance team and will:

Be responsible for the Group monthly management reporting of internal and external Business Development spend and Operating Assets’ capital expenditure.

Act as primary point of contact for Business Development team members on all IFS project management related matters.

Act as a primary point of contact for local teams providing expertise and support for IFS in Business Development and Capex Reporting, leading the continuous improvement of IFS, seeking assistance from the in-house IFS team as required.

Assist with year-end financial reporting including preparation of the notes to the financial statements, dealing with technical accounting matters, liaising with the auditors.

Key Main Responsibilities (this list is not exhaustive)

Month End Reporting:

Lead the preparation of the Group monthly management report Business Development and Operating Asset Capex sections.

Lead the monthly close out Business Development call.

Support the FP&A Manager in the preparation of the other sections of the Group monthly management report as required.

Provide high quality quarterly variance analysis to plan for the aforementioned areas.

Provide input and challenge to produce quality monthly forecasting.

Develop and implement improvements to Group monthly reporting for Business Development and Capex reporting.

Provide reporting support to operating assets along with Business Development as required into Annual Operating Plan process.

Work closely with Group Planning and Treasury teams to ensure Group cash impacts of Business Development are reflected correctly in Group forecasts, including tracking accrual vs cash based reporting

Business Development Support:

Act as first point of contact to the Business Development Project Managers for all their project related IFS queries, seeking support from the in-house IFS team where appropriate.

Actively seek improvements to the Business Development project management processes and reporting in IFS to improve controls, insights obtainable from the data in the system and the user experience.

Ensure new projects are created in IFS on a timely basis and the Financial Control and Business Development project teams are informed when projects are created.

Continuously monitor the list of Business Development projects in IFS to ensure that projects that become inactive or dormant are categorised as such in the system in a timely manner.

Monitor project budget approvals, flagging early to Project Managers requirements for additional project budget approvals to be sought when required.

Capex Reporting:

Act as first point of contact to operating asset teams for their capex reporting related queries, seeking support from in-house IFS team as required.

Work with local teams to enhance the quality of their capex reporting, exploring ways to enhance budget and schedule management for major capex projects.

Coordinate the operating assets preparation and lead the review of ACE Forms for all operating assets’ capex as part of the Annual Operating Plan.

Year-end financial reporting including but not limited to:

Preparation of certain notes to the Consolidated financial statements of the group and its subsidiaries and oversight on the subsequent audit of these notes by the Group’s external auditor.

Other Group reporting as required, including building new excel or PowerBI reports for the wider finance organisation.

Qualified accountant status (ACCA/ACMA/ACA)

Appropriate experience in an accounting / consolidating / reporting role

Experienced in financial and management accounting, current accounting practices and methods

Previous experience of working in a global organization would be useful
