Programmes Officer, Shelter Coordinator, Job in Kenya

Job Description: 

Reporting to the Head of Programmes, this position is based at our Corporate Office while supporting 13 counties in ensuring delivery of efficient and effective operations of shelter facilities, providing comprehensive support to survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) and coordinating project activities with stakeholders at the county level. In addition the successful candidate will ensure development of processes , procedures to support the shelters achieve the desired outcomes.

Qualifications: 

Applicants must be in possession of a Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences in either Psychology, Social Work, Community Development or Gender Studies, or other related social sciences from a recognized university with at least 3 years’ experience working in Gender Based Violence, Protection, Sexual Reproductive Health and rights programming and/or coordination. A Diploma in Project Management will be an added advantage. The position demands excellent project management , stakeholder management , monitoring and evaluation and analytical skills. Additionally accounting skills and high level of integrity will be required.
