Marketing Manager Job in Kenya

Specific Responsibilities

To effectively propose and convert SOA services to identified potential clients as per the marketing strategy

Develop and oversee the implementation of an overarching marketing strategy that covers all media and communications channels

Build and maintain strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

Oversee and manage several cross-functional teams and multiple projects simultaneously

Allocate the marketing budget and other resources to ensure maximum cost-efficiency

Identify and track relevant performance indicators to ensure alignment with company vision and make recommendations on possible improvement opportunities

Develop and implement marketing communication’s materials—videos, newsletters, digital tools, social media content, etc


Stay up to date with shifting industry trends, client demographics and expectations and key stakeholders’ requirements

Establishing new business lines and maintaining existing business accounts with industry influencers and key strategic partners through preparation and execution of action plans

Develop and maintain an active relationship with business partners while maximizing sales and revenue generation

Integrate and execute strategy in specialized areas such as social media strategy, earned media and proactive media pitching, partnership development, influencer marketing, travel trade strategy and engagement in the respective markets.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Bcom Marketing, Mass Communication, Public Relations, International Relations, Hospitality or any other closely related qualification

A minimum of 5 years’ in a similar senior position as a marketing manager with a proven track record in the tourism industry

A member of marketing professional body with good standing

Having worked in tours and travel industry will be an added advantage

Knowledge of Marketing and Destination Management with problem-solving skills and a critical thinker

Excellent organizational skills with an aptitude for professionalism and good time management skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software software, knowledge of hotel reservation systems and digital marketing tools preferred

Strategic thinker with analytical mindset, able to analyze data, identify trends and make data-driven decisions.

Proficiency with digital data analysis tools, preferably Google Analytics

Proficiency in foreign languages is a plus
