Food Technologist Job in Kenya

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Food Technologist to assist in the processing and value addition of our farm produce. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in food science technology production and management, possess excellent leadership skills, and demonstrate a deep understanding of sustainable and efficient food production practices.

Duties/Responsibilities but not limited to:

To advise on value addition process for the below projects:

Cheese production & processing from goat milk.

Drying & processing of Herbs – ( Moringa, Rosemary, Lemon grass etc.)

Conceptualize ideas from food preparation processes for marketing purposes.

Refine recipe formulation for mass production purposes.

Make recommendations in the design of new production & manufacturing processes.


Responsible for researching food trends, identifying emerging technologies and analyzing market data to ensure that KVL stays ahead of the competition.

Develop in-process and finished product specification.

Conduct production test runs.

Provide written and verbal reports of research for the food production purposes.

Additional Qualifications & Requirements:

A Diploma or degree in Food Science technology or other relevant qualifications.

Great Marketing & communication skills.

Food processing technical qualifications.

The ability to work independently.

Meticulous attention to detail, especially in regard to food hygiene and safety.

MS Office literate
