Tasks and Responsibilities:
The individual contractor is expected
to work closely with UNEP staff to perform the following:
Support partners to conclude
activities of TTPC – 5.2 to be concluded in July 2024.
Assist Oxford University in conducting
evaluation and doing research on Tide Turner from April 2024 to July 2025.
Support partners in organising TTPC National Summit in May 2024
Support partners in delivery of quarterly and final reports to donors due
in June 2024 Support implementation of TTPC in Bhutan with Government of
Bhutan and Royal Academy – June/July 2024
Additional areas of support include:
Support UNEP India office to implement
the YEA unit higher education agenda – Nature Positive Universities, as
required. Support UNEP India office to implement the YEA unit non-formal
education agenda. Support Fundraising efforts by YEA unit – to identify,
share information on potential donors/ partners at national/regional level.
Support expansion of the non-formal YEA agenda in India, including Sport
for Nature, Playing for Planet as required. Support Expansion of TTPC in
South/South East Asia – Final Phase 5.3
Qualifications/special skills
Master’s degree in communications,
international relations, political science, commerce, or related field is
required. A first-level university degree in combination with an
additional 2 years qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced
university degree At least three years of professional experience in
project management and youth programs Ability to deliver highly complex
projects of a global nature efficiently and effectively Excellent oral
and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills
computer literate in standard software applications Self-motivated,
ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines
and in a demanding work environment Strong interpersonal and
organizational skills
Languages
English and French are the working
languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in oral
and written English is required.
