As the
Grants and Foundations Manager, you will be part of Still I Rise’s fundraising
team. You will be responsible for managing the process of obtaining grants and
funding from foundations, grants, philanthropic organizations, and other
charitable entities.
Key responsibilities:
- Funding
Opportunities Research and Identification: Conduct in-depth research to
identify potential grants and funding opportunities from foundations and
philanthropic organizations that align with Still I Rise’s mission and
programs.
- Funding
Proposal Development: Create persuasive, comprehensive, and coherent
funding proposals that highlight the impact of Still I Rise’s programs and
meet the specific requirements of foundations and charitable entities.
- Relationship
Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and
potential donors, including foundations, philanthropic organizations, and
other entities, to develop long-term partnerships.
- Monitoring
and Reporting: Track the outcomes of received funding, ensuring the proper
implementation of funded programs, and providing regular reporting and
accountability to donors in accordance with established requirements.
- Compliance
and Administration: Ensure that all funding activities comply with the
guidelines of foundations and charitable entities, and that financial
reports are managed accurately and timely.
- Internal
Coordination: Collaborate with fundraising team members and other
departments at Still I Rise to ensure effective management of fundraising
activities and smooth communication regarding opportunities and
challenges.
- Industry
Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on trends and best practices in the
nonprofit funding sector, particularly regarding grants and funding from
foundations and philanthropic organizations.
- Grant
Applications: Manage the application process for funding opportunities,
including research, analysis of requirements, and preparation of
applications in accordance with the guidelines provided by foundations,
philanthropic organizations, and other charitable entities.
- Time
Management: Adhere to deadlines for submitting funding applications and
ensure proper planning for internal review and approval stages.
- Review
and Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of funding applications to
ensure accuracy of information, consistency of responses, and overall
quality of applications.
Essential
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum
3-5 years of experience in managing grants and funding from foundations or
philanthropic organizations, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
- Industry
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the nonprofit funding sector,
including best practices for grant research, funding proposal development,
and donor relationship management.
- Writing
Skills: Demonstrated ability to create persuasive funding proposals with
clear, compelling, and error-free writing.
- Analytical
Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret funder guidelines and evaluate
the suitability of funding opportunities for Still I Rise.
- Research
Skills: Proficiency in researching and analyzing funding opportunities,
including the ability to identify appropriate grants and understand
selection criteria.
- Organizational
Skills: Ability to effectively manage and coordinate multiple applications
simultaneously, while meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy and
completeness of required information.
- Adaptability:
Ability to quickly adapt to new funding opportunities and requirements,
demonstrating flexibility and rapid learning capabilities.
