TRADE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER II – JOB GROUP CPSB 10 (J) – (5 POSTS)
This position is
responsible for promoting trade through creation of an enabling business and
investment environment for business to thrive in the county.
Key
Responsibilities
Coordinate
and implement trade policies;
Implement
trade and investment policies in the county;
Conduct
business education and training of traders within the county;
Collect,
compile and analyses economic and trade related data;
Sensitize
business community on sources of credit available to micro, small and medium
enterprises (SME’s);
Participate and organize trade interactive forums and facilitate trade promotion activities;
Undertake
research and market intelligence for trade development in order to promote
entrepreneurial venture creation, growth and development;
Monitor
and evaluate trade activities and programmes that are conducted within the
county;
Manage
respective markets ensuring they are clean and well maintained.
Qualifications
Bachelors’
degree in social sciences in any of the following fields;
Commerce,
Marketing, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Business
Information Technology, Entrepreneurship, or relevant equivalent from a
recognized institution.
Competence
in financial accounting
Computer
literacy
Knowledge
of entrepreneurial and general economic factors.
Ability
to work well with
Three
(3) years relevant experience in a similar position from a reputable
organization
Satisfies
the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

Salary: As set by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission
(SRC)
