Micro Finance Manager REF: (SS/MFM/01/23)
Our client, a licensed
Deposit Taking Sacco headquartered in Kisii Town, is seeking to recruit
qualified and highly motivated individuals to fill the positions of a Branch
Manager, Micro Finance Manager, Internal Auditor, Assistant Internal
Auditor, Credit Officer, Micro Finance Officer and Accounts Assistant.
Reporting to the Chief
Executive Officer, the individual will be responsible for the day-to-day
coordination of the microfinance functions in the SACCO, ensuring high customer
service standards are maintained and total compliance to the SACCO lending
policies and procedures.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop strategy & road map for improving the financial
performance of the Microfinance department
- Manage the Micro-finance department Portfolio (Deposit &
Credit)
- Conduct Research and Development
- Drive the department team to ensure that customers’ needs are
met
- Build long-lasting relationships with the group members
- Create a culture of high performance among staff within the
department
- Ensure that the department’s procedures are followed to
mitigate risks.
Coordinate Credit Appraisal & Deposit Mobilization at a department level - Coordinate business development initiatives at the department
level
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or a
Business-Related Degree from a recognized university
- CPA K or Credit Management Certification
- Membership in a professional body is desirable
- A minimum of 5 years experience in micro-credit in a busy
financial institution (three years must be at supervisory or
management level)
- Sound knowledge of Sacco laws and regulations
- A person of integrity, a team player with effective
communication skills
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability on lending across
all sectors
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and team management
skills
- Working knowledge in Product Development and Market Research
