We seek a highly motivated and
qualified Sponsorship Social Worker to join
our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination, monitoring
and reporting on all project activities related to the sponsorship of the
orphan and vulnerable children (OVC) supported in the programme.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sponsorship Social Worker
will be responsible for the following:
- Providing key essential services to the sponsored Orphan and
Vulnerable Children (OVC) ensuring they are healthy, safe, educated and
their families are stable utilizing the case management model.
- Coordinating communication between sponsors and OVC through
timely submission of all correspondence required including fundraising to
add to the pool of sponsors.
- Effective Sponsors and stakeholders’ management through
structure & systems strengthening.
- Supporting sponsorship of community-based projects within
schools and communities such as through the provision of block grants and
emergency relief projects and monitoring the progress.
- Supporting and strengthening the sponsorship alumni
association and developing effective leadership programs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, scholarship
programs, and leadership development programs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A degree in Social Work, Community Development or a similar
field
- At least 3 years of experience in community work – experience
in managing sponsorship programmes will be an added advantage
- Mature Christian who is supportive of the beliefs, calling
and vision of Beacon of Hope
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Resource mobilization skills will be an added advantage
- Highly organized and able to work independently and as part
of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in
all aspects of work
- Strong computer skills with a demonstrated ability to
generate high quality reports
