Role: Business
Development Executive

Main Purpose of the Role
The incumbent shall responsible
for sourcing and growing the assigned portfolio by acquiring profitable
business through Intermediaries and ensure that new business revenue budgets
are achieved.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Management of accurate, quality and timely business reports
from the Broker & Agent Distribution Channels and use these to compile
channel reports for review by Line Manager and HOD.
- Management of the Broker & Agents Distribution Channel to
ensure revenue targets are met
- Managing an efficient sales cycle (sales pipeline) and
value-based service cycle
- Proactively market incentive Programs to drive business
goals.
- Promoting the company brand;
- Implementation of Client Relationship Management best
practice to drive business goals.
- Proposing and implementing value propositions to retain and
grow revenues and Distribution Channels relationships.
- Log all Broker & Agent channel feedback aimed at
identifying new business potential and benchmarking of market prices.
- Monitor competitor activity and identify
opportunities/threats that are presented by such activities.
- Prospecting for new product lines and revenue
- Procuring new clients through direct contact, word-of-mouth,
and collaboration with the marketing department.
- Attending networking activities to research and connect with
prospective clients.
- Executing sales strategies and marketing concepts for new
products and technologies.
- Crafting business proposals and contracts to draw in more
revenue from clients.
Knowledge and Experience Required
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in a business-related field or social
sciences
- Specialized training in customer service or marketing would
be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in Group life
marketing/Business development.
- Fully qualified AIIK/CII or in the final stage of completion.
Key Skills and Competencies Required
- Sound knowledge of the insurance industry operational
landscape.
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare
reports
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of
a team.
- Good Communication and Customer Care skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, multi-tasking and
decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize, delegate
and execute tasks effectively
