Branch Manager Job in Kenya

A Leading International Manufacturer of Automobiles, Buses, Trucks and Motorcycles is seeking to hire the following position:

Position Title: Branch Manager - Mombasa

Reporting to: Managing Director - East Africa

Overall Job Purpose: The Branch Manager is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the Branches while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

This position manages fiscal and operational activities efficiently within the Branches, advises and makes recommendations to the Management with the best interest of the department for any possible improvement.

Key Results Areas

KRA 1: Planning and Strategy Setting

  • Achieve the sales targets for the branch.
  • Forecasting and planning for all activities in the Branch.
  • Directing and coordinating all sales activities locally and regionally
  • Fully responsible of the P&L of the Branches
  • Follow up all Branches KPI: Budget, Target achievement, CSI, Productivity.
  • Provide the direction and leadership required to achieve profitable and professional technical services at high-quality standards. This includes developing markets and establishing activities to achieve financial targets as set by the management.
  • Maintain a customer satisfaction program and ensure that CSI meets the target set by the company.

KRA 2: Achieve Sales Target

  • Overseeing local and regional sales, promotions, and campaigns.
  • Tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.
  • Ensure proper utilization of all the service facilities and maintain equipment in proper working condition.
  • Coordinate with parts department to ensure smooth supply of parts at highest rate.
  • Monitor warranty claims processing.
  • Advising distributors and dealers on policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

KRA 3: Development of Employee’s Performance


  • Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
  • Hold regular meetings with staff and group meetings for solving operational problems and follow up daily on the WIP.
  • Monitor product quality and forward technical/market product reports to the technical department.
  • Organize the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business field or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field
  • Required Relevant Industry Experience: 10 years of experience
  • Technological Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
  • Language Requirements: Excellent command of English – oral and written
