Description
Develop, plan, deliver andco-ordinate
flight operations officers and flight crew training.
Detailed
Description
Develop training curriculum, syllabi
and manuals for Dispatchers Training, Pilots and FOO Inductions, Load control
training, EDTO training, Initial type rating courses, Pilots Command Training,
KCARS and KCAA Licensing Training.
Plan, organize, schedule, and deliver
Flight Operations Training programs in collaboration with the various functions
to enable easy access and full participation.
Ensure that all training is conducted
as per the KCAA/Company policy and standards.
Prepare and ensure quality of
classrooms during lecture, encourage participation of audience.
Audit out-sourced training
institutions to determine that they conform to the KCAA regulatory
requirements, industry requirements and IOSA policies and standards.
Develop and deliver relevant training
syllabi according to the set training policy and organization requirements.
Undertake planning, provision, and
management of all aspects of training.
Supervise and manage the activities of
respective instructors to ensure optimum utilization of resources, and timely
and efficient achievement of training objectives.
Evaluate, prepare, and maintain
appropriate levels of training.
Certifying each student’s training
record, graduation certificate, end-of-course test reports, stage check and
recommendation for course completion where applicable.
Evaluate and implement all incoming
amendments, revisions, or other relevant publications regarding training.
Review the course material and content
for relevance, consistency, completeness, and quality, and/or recommend final
courseware for approval.
Work with the Senior Manager -Ground
Training to define capability requirements to always ensure that there are
sufficient instructors, examiners, and support personnel to conduct training
and examination programs and other training related functions.
Moderation of examinations.
Liaise with industry stakeholders to
conduct training needs analysis and ensure that appropriate training courses
are designed or acquired and then effectively delivered.
Ensure that all the relevant training
records are well maintained in accordance with relevant requirements.
Evaluate instructors’ performance and
provide feedback.
Develop and control training budget.
Complete training needs analyses and
develop the specification of training requirements.
Revenue generation.
Manage the stock, reproduction, and
supply of printed training materials for participants.
Job Requirements
Hold a university degree or higher
Diploma.
Hold a valid Flight Operations
Officer’s License or Commercial pilots’ license/Airline Transport pilots
license
Have good interpersonal and
communication skills.
Technically competent in the area of
instruction.
A person of integrity, impartial in
carrying out tasks, tactful, has a good understanding of human nature and
possesses the ability to get along with other people.
Must have completed an instructional
design and techniques course.
At least three (3) years’experience as
a Flight Operations Officer Instructor.
