Business Development Officer Job in Kenya

Job Summary

We need someone who will help us meet increasing demand of our products and maintain a high quality of our services. The role plays an important part in making sure we can respond to the changing development needs of the business. You will do this through a variety of activities including developing modern and competitive training programs within the industry, selling the programs, proposal development, and assisting in the delivery of strategic projects within the company among others.

Key responsibilities:

Identify opportunities for business growth and create marketing strategies based on those opportunities in order to meet and exceed revenue goals.

Conducting market research and developing tailored job role and industry domain training programs.

Working with digital marketers to push for the industry domain, and job role based training programmes.

Developing corporate sales proposals, pitches for targeted accounts.

Sales and Prospecting using the Accounts Based Sales approach for the allocated training categories, segments and sectors.

Continuously developing research and training proposals (RFPs, EoIs, RFQs)

Relationships building with our past clients, cross selling, reselling and upselling

Formulate learning and development strategies by undertaking training needs analysis, review of organizational goals and training funding opportunities within the allocated segments;

Consult with key internal and external stakeholders and participate in project planning and implementation of training programs to ensure alignment with contemporary industry standards and expectations;

Working with organizations (NGOS, Government and Private) to coordinate design and delivery of specialist L&D interventions and programmes to meet specific requirements or skill gaps

Developing innovative and exciting new ways of meeting organizational Learning & Development needs

Driving a culture of continuous professional development (CPD)

Monitoring how effectively learning has been transferred to our clients and offering post training support when need be.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Geography, GIS, Math, Physics, Astronomy, or an Engineering field.

Experience in the geospatial, data and/or analytics industry.

Experience working with commercial customers including geospatial data, mapping, satellite or aerial imagery.

An aggressive personality, driven by performance would be a good fit for this role.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Strong listening and presentation skills

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Well versed with the use of Office, Sales/CRM Applications.
