Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Health, registered under Legal Notice Number 4 of the State Corporations Act Cap 446. The Hospital seeks to engage qualified staff on a three (3) to five (5) year performance-based renewable contract for the positions listed below. CLINICAL QUALITY ASSURANCE
MANAGER- V/FT/10/2023-1 POST
Duties and
responsibilities:
- Assigning,
reviewing, and evaluating the work of professional, technical, and
clerical staff;
- Interpreting
and implementing quality assurance standards;
- Monitoring
unusual occurrences, reporting follow-up procedures and report monthly and
year-to-date comparisons;
- Revising
of record forms and procedures;
- Reviewing
quality assurance standards, policies and procedures, and interviews
personnel and customers to evaluate effectiveness of quality assurance
program;
- Reviewing
and evaluating patients’ medical records, applying quality assurance
criteria;
- Performing
quality-assurance functions to accomplish business coordination,
monitoring, and reporting of quality-assurance studies according to the
Quality Assurance plan;
- Responsible
for knowing current Quality Assurance regulations and informing the
Director of any new and/or revised regulations imposed
- Selects
specific topics for review, such as problem procedures, drugs, high volume
cases, high risk cases, or other factors;
- Compiling
statistical data and writes narrative reports summarizing quality
assurance findings; and
- Maintaining
current and accurate records of all relevant communications, audits,
corrective action plans, and effectiveness
Minimum Academic Qualifications
- A
minimum period of eight (8) years relevant work experience with at least
five (5) years in a supervisory
- Bachelor’s
Degree in any of the following disciplines; sciences, Economics,
Statistics or its equivalent from a recognized institution
- Master’s
degree in Management Health Economics health management with an option in
Quality Assurance, Statistics mathematics and or any other relevant
program from recognized institution
- Leadership/Management
Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized
- Membership
to relevant professional body where
- Proficiency
in computer applications
- Fulfilled
the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya,
