SENIOR MEDICAL ENGINEERING
TECHNOLOGIST (1 POSITION) – VACANCY No. 03/PROM/2023/04
Basic Salary Scale: Kshs.
42,970 – 59,120 p.m.
Job Group ‘L’
Allowances as per the SRC
circulars attached to the position.
Qualifications
- Served in the grade of Medical Engineering
Technologist I for a minimum period of three (3) years;
- Diploma in Medical Engineering or any other
equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Certificate in computer application skills from a
recognized institution; and
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work
performance and results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Implementing Medical Engineering program and
project;
- Providing user support;
- Undertaking preventive
maintenance and
repairs of medical/
hospital equipment, plants, furniture and instruments;
- Installing medical equipment and furniture of medium
technology;
- Analyzing information for research;
- Preparing planned preventive maintenance schedule
(PPM);
- Providing specification for spare parts and
consumables;
- Maintaining inventory of medical/hospital equipment,
furniture and plants;
- Supervising medical engineering works in a health
facility;
- Updating and maintaining information on medical engineering
services for input into the health information management system;
- Training users on use and maintenance of medical
equipment; and
- Supervising staff working under the officer
