Our Client, a leading player in the Transport Sector, seeks to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position in Nairobi.
Public Relations Officer
Starting
Salary (Basic): 50,000
Key
Responsibilities
· To
manage the reputation and image of the company, clients and stakeholders.
· Use all
forms of media and communication channels to build, maintain and manage the
reputation of the company and clients.
· Communicate
key messages, often using third-party endorsements, to defined target audiences
in order to establish and maintain goodwill and understanding between an
organization and its public.
· Monitor
publicity and conduct research to find out the concerns and expectations of the
company and stakeholders.
· Provide
relevant reports and feedback to the company for internal and external use.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· BSc/BA
in PR, Journalism, Communication, Advertising, or similar field
· At
least 2 years of experience leading a PR department/firm
· Strong
contact & corporation with media houses
· Solid
knowledge of social media (blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
· Excellent
communication and presentation skills; comfortable as a public speaker &
Speech writer
· Ability
to build strong relationships with key people or organizations
· Ability
to work with minimal supervision
· Ability
to work under pressure with tight deadline
· A
creative mind collaborated with the ability to find the best practical
solutions
· Should
possess advanced editing, copy writing, and proofreading skills.
