Finance Accounting Senior Analyst

Local Regulatory Reporting:

Take an active role in preparation, review and submission of the regulatory reports. Provide necessary information/data when requested by the units in charge of report compilation (CSC). This includes preparation of adjustments, responses to queries, provision of inputs etc.

US GAAP Corporate and Corporate reporting:

Provide the necessary information/data when requested by the units (FRSS etc.) in charge of US GAAP and Corporate Reporting. This includes preparation of adjustments, responses to queries, provision of inputs etc.

Corporate Tax Compliance:

This includes providing inputs to EY for preparation of tax returns, preparation of monthly tax accruals, responding to any arising query relating to corporate taxes from the Kenya Revenue Authority.

Audit coordination:

Coordinating Statutory Audit (KPMG) and Tax Audits. This involves acting as the main contact person for the auditors, ensuring there is an information flow between the auditors and the organization, and escalation of any audit issues and findings to Stakeholders and Management so the same can be discussed and managed before issuance of the Final audit reports. This is also involves ensuring Audit Findings are escalated and remediated accordingly.

Indirect Tax Review:


Acting as a country Tax lead through the oversight and guidance on indirect taxes being paid by the franchise including VAT, Excise Duty and Withholding tax.

Competitive analysis:

Analysis of profitability and balance sheets of the banks in the banking industry and comparison of the organizations performance with other banks and assessment of critical success factors in the banking industry versus performance of the organization. This includes a detailed SWOT analysis.

Balance Sheet Control Lead:

Acting as a contact person for arising issues around balance sheet substantiation. Ensuring country account owners provided the required source documentation to the proofing teams. Ensuring accounts are assigned accordingly and providing the source documentation for finance related accounts to the proofing teams.

Control File Preparation:

This includes collation of the LEM control file inputs. Loading of the inputs into the E-control portal. And ensuring the e-control results are reflected in the MCA and escalating any arising issues.

Active Lead on Country Finance EUC compliance:

Managing the country inventory of EUC’s to ensure that all Controls are up to date with no issues arising. Performing the required controls on the EUC’s and taking ensuring that all EUC Documentation is up to date.

Country Finance project Lead:

Responsible for all country finance projects that arise from time to time.

Transfer Pricing:

Active role in the Country TP Documentation Compliance for the Country. This includes compilation of Finance related data and collection of non-finance related Data from Treasury Back Office. Responding to various queries from FRSS on the data inputs provided.

Monthly ICSA Charges Review:

Reviewing the monthly ICSA charges to identify new ICSA’s, changes to ICSA services and changes to ICSA pricing which is then shared with the Third-Party Coordinator for onward Board Approval. This task is arising from a Regulatory Audit.

GOT:

Active role in supporting the Country GOT process through the compilation of historical product balances data to support the annual refresh. Preparation of the quarterly balances data to support the quarterly balances update and collation of the CBR balances to support the CBR adjustment.

ICAAP:

Active role in preparation of the ICAAP.
