This is the entry and
training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the
guidance of a senior officer.
Duties and
Responsibilities
The duties and
responsibilities of the officer will entail: –
- Drive
vehicles as authorized;
- Carry
out routine checks on the vehicles;
- Detect
and report malfunctioning of vehicles system;
- Maintain
records of vehicles;
- Ensure
security and safety of the vehicle;
- Oversee
safety of the passengers and or goods therein;
- Maintain
cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Ensure
adherence to or observations of traffic laws
- Report
any incidents to police and/or the office immediately they occur
b) Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this
grade, a candidate must have: –
- KCSE
D+ or equivalent from a recognised institution;
- Valid
driving license
- Trade
Test for Drivers Grade III
- First-Aid
Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from a recognized
institution
- Fulfilled
the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;

- Good
communication and reporting skills in both English and Kiswahili
- Interpersonal
skills

Basic Salary: KES 18,783 –
24,072
House Allowance: Depending
on deployment
Commuter Allowance: KES

Medical Allowance: Cover
to be provided according to the Council’s Medical Scheme.
