Job Vacancy: Accounts Assistant

Duties

·  Posting petty cash vouchers and filing them.

·  Recording customer payments and posting them to the system.

·  Suppliers; posting supplier invoices and filing posted invoices;

·  Preparing bills for payment.

·  Calculating withholding vat and withholding taxes.

·  Filing KRA Returns for employees.

·  Debt management.

·  Preparation of customer ageing reports.

·  Sending of statements to customers, printing sales representatives’ statements and sending them.

·  Preparation of collection targets.

·  Following up on customers returns with the transporters.

·  Writing credit notes for the returned products.

·  Reconciling customer statements.


·  Calling customers for payments.

·  Preparing demand letters, statements and any other required document to facilitate debt collection by the external debt collector.

·  Kisumu branch stock management.

·  Updating dispatches of raw materials, finished products and packaging materials dispatched from head office to Kisumu branch.

·  Updating sales made and comparing stock balances with actual stock balances from stock take.

Qualifications & Skills

·  Diploma or Degree in Business Admiration – Finance option

·  CPA certification is added advantage

·  At least 2 years’ experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
