SENIOR SECURITY OFFICER

Job Ref: HR: KP1/5B.2/1/3/1153

Reporting to Chief Security Officer, the Senior Security Officer will ensure provision and management of security services as per approved standards.

The keys tasks of the position are as indicated hereunder:

  • Interpreting and implementing policies, standards norms and procedures pertaining to the security function;
  • As member of the security team, participating in implementation of security measures.
  • Carrying out prevention and investigation of fraud and theft cases as per laid down procedures;
  • Conducting investigations on criminal cases and presenting them to police for appropriate action;
  • Participating in implementation of safety and security measures and regulations by employees and customers;
  • Safeguarding security of the Company assets against theft, pilferage, damage, misuse or sabotage;
  • Participating in conducting investigations of Motor-vehicle accidents and recommending ways of reducing them;

  • Liaising with law enforcement agencies to ensure effective execution of Security functions;
  • Supervising contracted guards manning Company installations and premises; Ensuring effective utilization of resources assigned;
  • Preparing, implementing and controlling the Security budget;
  • Representing the company in the external investigation on matters of security in the Company as necessary;
  • Holding meetings with internal/external customers on matters of general security;
  • Ensuring Security Operations are consistent with the corporate objectives; Preparing timely and accurate reports;

Appointment Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from recognized institution
  • Diploma on security/Forensic Science or related field Computer Literacy
  • 7 years relevant working experience or a Security officer 2 of which must have been at management level
