The Law Society of Kenya
is a Premier Bar Association with membership of all Advocates in Kenya. The
Society seeks to recruit the following vacant positions to enhance in its
service delivery to members.
ASSISTANT PROGRAM OFFICER –
CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD)
The position will be the
principal assistant to the Program Officer Continuing Professional Development
Key responsibilities:
- Assist
in the implementation of the CPD programme
- Assist
in editing, proof reading and publication of the CPD digest
- Assist
in fund raising for CPD activities
- Update
and monitor member’s CPD compliance status
- Respond
to inquiries relating to the CPD programme through emails, telephone and
walk-ins
- Prepare
files for CPD committee and sub-committees meetings
- Process
requests for accreditation and exemption from both members and
organizations
- Prepare
minutes of the CPD committee and sub-committees meetings
- Draft
correspondence in response to several applications
- Manage
the CPD Portal and biometric registration
- ny
other related tasks as may be assigned, from time to time by the
Secretary/CEO
Required skills and
experience
- A
Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB.) from a recognized university and a
post-graduate diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
- An
advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
- An
excellent understanding of the CPD processes.
