the role: Education Development Trust has worked with governments
and development partners to strengthen education systems in countries across
sub-Saharan Africa including Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, Mozambique, Malawi,
Uganda, Ghana, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Ethiopia.
We
consistently seek like-minded, talented people to join our team on both
short-term technical assistance and long-term education reform programmes to
help us maximize our impact improving the quality of education provision.
We
do this through impactful models of teacher professional development, school
leadership capacity building, enhanced approaches to accountability and system
strengthening.
We have an exciting consulting opportunity that will support the design and implementation of a new strategy for education technical quality management across the regional SSA project portfolio.
As
a Regional Educational Quality Assurance Lead for Sub Saharan Africa, you will
· Review
the current approach to education technical quality management across the SSA
region.
· Design
a revised and enhanced approach to education technical quality management,
including the enhanced use of data and MEL (working with local and central MEL
team) and quality assurance standards to support our Delivery Excellence
Framework (working with the SSA Programme Delivery Director).
· Provide
support to projects as-needed to support education technical quality
You
will spend some time in our regional hub in Nairobi and will travel to our
other projects in the region at least once during the consultancy.

the organisation

Development Trust has a regional hub based in Nairobi which provides
operational and back-office support to several projects delivered in the
region. Currently the region is implementing high value projects in Kenya,
Rwanda, Zimbabwe, and Ethiopia, and growing.
