Job Purpose

To provide transport services to Management, Staff and other Stakeholders to facilitate smooth

running of the Authority’s activities.

Key Responsibilities/ Duties / Tasks

Operational Responsibilities / Tasks


  •  Driving the vehicle as authorized;
  • Carrying out minor mechanical adjustments;
  • Recognizing and reporting abnormal operation of the vehicle parts;
  • Ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road;
  • Ensuring safety of passengers and/or goods therein;
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle; and
  • Maintaining work tickets for vehicles assigned to him/her
  • Recognizing and reporting abnormal operation of the vehicle parts;
  • Administering first aid whenever possible
  • Timely filling of hand over template to the administration officer

 Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills). Academic qualifications

At least a mean grade of C- in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education;

Other requirements

  • the Occupational Trade Test II Certificate;
  • a Certificate of Good Conduct (renewable after two (2) years);
  • a First Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. Johns Ambulance or any other recognized institution;

Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies

A valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for class (es) of vehicle (s) an officer is required to drive.

Previous relevant work experience required.

  • served in the grade of Driver for at least three (3) years;
  • An accident free driving period of 3 years

  •  Good Interpersonal and negotiation skills;
