Supply Chain Development Manager Vacancy
Twiga Foods Limited is looking for a suitably qualified candidate to fill the role of Supply Chain Development Manager. The Supply Chain Development Manager is responsible for analyzing and optimizing within and between the various functions in the supply chain. The role will take ownership of related projects and delivers them timely and efficiently. The role holder will work on supply chain development in a systemic manner with foresight and continuous improvement in mind. The role also supports supply chain operations on an as-needed basis.The role holder will ensure that all assigned activities are followed through and closed out with a conclusion, analysis, and plan outcome. The position holder also initiates and trials opportunities for improvement in close collaboration with the respective department(s).
Key Responsibilities
Planning
- Interpret
corporate plans and translates these into supply chain action plans.
Controls these plans and expected outcomes.
- Identifies
efficiency opportunities in SCO operations (in collaboration with other
departments)
- Participate
in company-driven plans for the enhancement of the organization and drive
the SCO agenda to reach the outcomes
- Support
expansion opportunities by driving SCO standards across various markets.
Supply Chain Operational Support
- Support
Supply Chain operations on an ‘as-needed basis
- Drive
continuous improvement and efficiency in Distribution Centre and Logistics
operations
- Develop
and collate monthly operations KPIs and find opportunities for enhancement.
Compliance
- Developing
processing plans and optimizing resource allocation within agreed
standards.
- Managing
infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.
- Ensuring
compliance with relevant regulations and conforming to Twiga’s quality,
environmental, food, and safety requirements which are instrumental to
facilities management.
- Comply
with all organization policies, procedures, and statutory guidelines.
Minimize and mitigate risks to the organization and enforce zero-tolerance
for non-compliance.
- Close
gaps/lapses identified as an outcome of audits; risks and/or any other
compliance review; investigations; or other assessment mechanisms and take
corrective/preventive actions within the agreed timelines.
Relevant Skills & Experience
- At
least 5 years experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry
- Has
an established background in a Fresh Produce / Consumer Goods company in a
DC and/or Transport Management role.
- Experience
in 3Party Logistics partners
- Excellent
organization & time management skills.
- Exceptional
numerical skills
- Knowledge
of the legal requirements of operating a Distribution Centre and/or
transport operations.
- Familiar
with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Ability to review and develop
plans based on outcomes
- Strong
leadership and ability to manage a diverse team of staff. Proven
experience in driving results through indirect reports.
