Job Title: Reflexologist

Duties and
Responsibilities
1. Meeting with clients and conducting an initial assessment.
2. Explaining to new clients the principles and methods of
reflexology.
3. Applying hands-on massage to patient’s feet and to a lesser
extent their hands.
4. Instructing the client in self-reflexology techniques to be
practiced at home.
5. Keeping detailed patient notes.
6. Setting out a plan of future treatment.
7. Advising patients to seek mainstream medical treatment where
necessary.
8. Responsible for suggesting treatments for back problems,
hypertension, digestive problems, insomnia and many others.
9. To diagnose the body map for pressure levels and detect the
acute stressed points.
10. Setting up a life style questionnaire to enquire about
issues related with diet, exercise and work related tensions.
11. He has to identify serious issues like migraine, hormonal
imbalance and stress related disorders before starting the reflexology
treatment.
12. Knowledge of the reflex points of hand, feet and body to
provide accurate pressure.
13. Ability to maintain the proper records of treatment and
medical history of patient including all diagnosed reports.
14. The person should have the sound knowledge of providing
proper guidance to improve diet and do certain exercises.
15. The person needs to be aware of time interval to stop the
treatment when the stress is cured.
Key Qualifications and
Skills
· Certificate in
Reflexology.
· Diploma in Reflexology
is an added advantage.
· 3 Years Work Experience
· Patience and empathy to
listen to other people’s problems.
· Ability to see to the
root problem amongst a host of interrelated issues.
· A good understanding of
healthy living practices.
· The ability to inspire
confidence in others.
· The ability to develop
mentoring, caring relationships with others.
· Excellent organizational
skills.
· The ability to recognize
the limit of one’s owns abilities and the appropriate time to refer a patient
to another healthcare professional.
