Job Title: Operations Manager

Duties and
Responsibilities
1. Effective implementation of marketing strategy (including
growth).
2. Develop a marketing strategy for the hospital aligned to the business plan and marketing strategy and drive the marketing of the hospital by understanding, identifying and addressing the needs of the target market and local community including understanding competitor strategies.
3. Maintain quality patient care standards.
4. Achievement of clinic financial targets.
5. Areas of focus include Budget, special projects, activity,
revenue, cost of sales, overheads and working capital.
6. In all of the above identify trends, using root cause
analysis, and implement remedial action where necessary through effective use
of heads of department and enabling functions as required.
7. Effective hospital operations management.
8. Drive the optimal functioning of hospital operations,
identify and monitor gaps and risks and implement corrective action
accordingly.
9. Generate and provide periodic reports as desired by the Medical
Director/Board of Directors
10. Effective relationship management with doctors.
11. Effective quality systems management.
12. Actively lead and market quality as it relates to staff,
doctors and other stakeholders.
13. Effective people management.
14. Demonstrate visible leadership in respect of values,
operating model and strategy.
15. Actively sponsor initiatives and projects as it relates to
hospital.
16. Ensure and drive optimal management of business governance
to achieve sound business ethics, risk management and control with appropriate
transparency and controls.
Key Qualifications and
Skills
· Relevant business or
healthcare degree is essential.
· Postgraduate
qualification will be an advantage.
· At least 3 years’
experience in a similar position.
· Very strong
organizational skills and the ability to work and deliver projects and achieve
targets
independently, proactively and under pressure.
· Proven leadership and
general business management experience
· Knowledge of the private
healthcare environment or services industry
