Chief Legal Officer Job in Kenya

CHIEF LEGAL OFFICER – GRADE 15.

Reporting to the Vice Chancellor, the Chief Legal officer will be in charge of the University Legal department;

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree or it’s equivalent from a recognized university
  • Master’s degree in law, Business Administration or other related areas
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
  • CPS (K) will be an added advantage.
  • Membership to a relevant professional body – LSK.
  • Valid Practicing Certificate
  • At least seven (7) years of working experience in a large corporation and currently holding a similar or equivalent position.

TERMS OF SERVICE:

The terms of Service for the position of Registrar (Planning & Strategy) is (4) Four years renewable contract subject to satisfactory performance. A competitive remuneration package which includes a basic salary, generous house allowance, medical cover as per University Scheme, Leave allowance and Official transport will be provided.

For the other positions, the terms are a two (2) years performance based renewable contract with the possibility of terms being changed to Permanent and Pensionable as per the individual’s performance.

A generous medical scheme, house allowance and commuting allowance will be offered.
