Way in Nairobi’s bustling Westland’s area. The hotel offers 32 two-bedroom
apartment, 6 one-bedroom apartment and 2 penthouses.
These fully serviced apartments

needs of short and extended stays within a serene location which is the perfect
home away for both business and leisure travellers.
The all-day dining restaurant serves a variety of both Kenyan and continental dishes. The bar area features a fine selection of wines alongside a wide range of spirits and Signature Cocktails.

facilities to help you keep up with your fitness regime while staying with us,
including a heated pool.
The Pastry Chef should
have the culinary expertise and experience to make a wide variety of desserts
and baked goods, including confectionery work. They must understand and
appreciate the subtleties of flavour pairings and different tastes, and have a
good aesthetic sense for food and pastry presentation. They must
adhere to health and safety standards to provide clients with the best possible
serving. They must be creative with their dessert creations and
continually research and test new and different dessert and baking recipes to
ensure that guests have an exceptional dining experience. In addition to this,
they should demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a team on various
assignments and should manage to work both in the hot kitchen and the pastry
section when required to.
Responsibilities
- Oversees creativity and prepares
all desserts required for the restaurant, functions, and specialty orders.
- Prepare a wide variety of goods
such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern
recipes
- Decorate pastries using different
icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and
exciting
- Monitor stocks for baking
ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within
budget
- Check quality of material and
condition of equipment and devices used for cooking
- Maintain a lean and orderly
cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
- Schedules production of all baked
goods to maintain an inventory of fresh baked goods at all times.
- Ensure excellent quality
throughout the dessert offering
- Ensure that guest have a positive
and memorable experience.
- Should efficiently work in the
hot kitchen when there is need
- Any other duties as shall be
assigned from time to time
Qualifications
- Diploma / Certificate in Food
Production or related
- Minimum experience: 2 years in a
hospitality set-up
- Valid Food handlers certificate
- Knowledge in HACCP
- Excellent record in kitchen operations
and procedures
- Covid-19 vaccination certificate
