Direct Supervision: Creative and Digital Executive, Marketing Interns
Broad Function: The Brand Manager will provide strategic direction and thought leadership in the development of an integrated marketing plan to meet both the brand and revenue objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for:
Primary duties and responsibilities
- Develop
and update the hotel’s marketing and communications strategy
- Partner
with the relevant department heads to develop annual marketing plans for
the hotel main and sub-brands in line with the overall brand strategy
- Monitor
the marketing budget for proposed activities and ensure efficient use and
tracking of the same
- Develop
and manage the annual marketing calendar to ensure accurate ease of
tracking and coordination
- Undertake
detailed on-going analysis of marketing campaigns to ensure objectives are
measurable, clear, targets are met, and ROI is analysed
- Review
the on-going competitor analysis report and make appropriate
recommendation on brand strategy
- Prepare
brand strategy presentations and plans for periodic communication to key
internal and external stakeholders
- Proactively
lead the creation of, and strict adherence to the marketing department
standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Conduct
ongoing research relating the brand to ensure deep understanding of the
brand features and USPs and proactively conduct product training alongside
the sales teams
- Lead
and facilitate monthly engagement meetings with relevant departmental
stakeholders to review brand strategy, priorities and required actions for
achievement of brand goals and targets
- Work
closely with the digital team to ensure seamless integration of the online
channels into the overall marketing strategy
- Ensure
the consistency and integrity of the brand is adhered to from a
visual/corporate identity perspective, personality, tonality, content,
partnerships etc.
- Develop,
maintain and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly marketing
reports that help in the tracking of the effectiveness of all marketing
activities
- Look
for collaborative marketing opportunities for the hotel with external
parties
- Effectively
organise internal and external events and meetings preparing/securing
information and collateral as necessary and ensuring clear and measurable
objectives
- Ensure
adherence to any set events toolkit and proactively drive the development
and updating of toolkits
- Plan
and execute press releases and other media engagement activities factoring
necessary lead times
- Supervise
the planning and development of company marketing and communications
materials
- Guard
the correct use of the hotel’s brand by the marketing team & hotel
staff
- Oversee
the maintenance, administration and updating of the hotel’s website and
other owned media
- Promote
positive relations with suppliers, partners and sponsors
- Keep
abreast of the latest trends and standards within the hospitality industry
- Any
other duties as assigned from time to time
Qualifications
- Minimum
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (Digital and writing
qualifications will be an advantage)
- Minimum
of 6 years management experience with a demonstrable track record in
marketing
