Supply Chain Management


KIMC GRADE 5
Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:-
  • planning of Supply chain Management activities;
  • coordinating warehousing and market surveys and research;
  • supervising inventory and stock control;
  • disposing off boarded stores and equipment;
  • preparing procurement plans;
  • prequalifying of suppliers; and
  • Coordinating tenders.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-
  • Served in the grade of Senior Supply Chain Management Officer or in a comparable position in the Public Service or Private Sector for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • Bachelors degree in the following disciplines: Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Procurement and Supplies Management, Marketing, or their equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
  • Masters degree in the following disciplines: Procurement and Supplies Management, Logistic and Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
  • Diploma in Supplies Management or its equivalent from a recognized Institution;
  • Attended in a Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution;
  • Must be a member of a relevant professional body;
  • Certificate in computer application skills; and
  • Shown administrative ability, integrity and experience in procurement procedures.
In addition, candidates must adhere to the provisions of Chapter VI on Leadership and integrity, as enshrined in the Constitution of Kenya 2010. Interested candidates must submit Certificates of Compliance from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Ethics and Anticorruption Commission (EACC), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), and Credit Reference Bureau (CRB); and provide Certificate of Good Conduct from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
The successful candidate will be on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service. The gross Salary for this position will be ksh. 128,390 per month.

Human Resource Manager
KIMC GRADE 4

Responsibilities
An officer at this level will head the Human Resource Management Division. Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:-
  • Formulating policies, strategies and programmes on human resource issues;
  • Analyzing the utilization of the human resource in the Institute and advising on proper deployment;
  • Making proposals on human resource planning and succession management;
  • Analyzing staff performance and career progression and making appropriate recommendations;
  • coordinating training need assessment for the Institute staff; and
  • Interpreting and implementing human resource management policies, rules and regulations including those relating to pensions, salary administration, labour laws and other statutes that impact on the human resource.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-
  • served in the grade of Chief Human Resource Management Officer or in a comparable position in the Public Service or Private Sector for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: Social Sciences, Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
  • Masters degree in any of the following disciplines: Social Sciences, Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
  • Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than four (4) Weeks from a recognized Institution; and
  • Shown merit, integrity and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
  • n addition, candidates must adhere to the provisions of Chapter VI on Leadership and integrity, as enshrined in the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
