A leading National Agency is seeking
to recruit a suitably qualified and highly motivated Kenyan citizen to fill the
following vacant position:
Principal Administration Officer
Grade 4
1 Position on Permanent & Pensionable Terms
Reporting to the Manager, Human
Resource & Administration the successful candidate will be responsible for
ensuring efficient and effective provision of general office administration
services; including hospitality, employee safety and wellness, conduct work
environment, maintenance and management of the organisation’s property /
assets, fleet management and provision of transport services.
Key Responsibilities
(i) Developing administration policy
and procedures;
(ii) Ensuring compliance with the
occupational health and safety legislation;
(iii) Formulating departmental
policies and procedures and other documentation in line with ISO 9001:2015
Standard;
(iv) Ensuring that the organization
premises and property are secured, and undertake investigations when incidents
occur;
(v) Developing and implement a
maintenance schedule for the organization’s fleet and ensure all vehicles are
serviced as per the schedule;
(vi) Preparing division budget,
supervise staff, recommend staff for training supervision and management;
(vii) Overseeing preparation of terms
of reference for different contracts, participate in evaluation process, manage
the contracts and prepare reports
Qualifications & Skills Required
(i) At least eight (8) years of
relevant work experience, three (3) of which must be at supervisory level:
(ii) A Bachelors’ degree ¡n any of
the following disciplines: Business Management, Public Administration, Human
Resource Management, Finance, Commerce, Social Sciences or equivalent
qualification from a recognized institution:
(iii) A Masters degree in any of the
following disciplines: Business Management, Public Administration, Human
Resource Management, Finance, Commerce, Transport Management, Logistics, Social
Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution:
(iv) Attended Management course
lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution:
(v) Member to relevant professional
body in good standing, where applicable;
(vi) Demonstrated results in work
performance;
(vii) Proficiency in Computer
Application Skills;
(viii) Fulfilled the requirements of
Chapter six of the Constitution.
(ix) Personal attributes such as;
planning, problem solving and analytical skills, strong communication and
reporting skills, strong managerial skills and ability to lead teams,
mentoring, coaching and leadership skills, attention to detail, interpersonal
and negotiation skills

ix) Current Report from an approved
Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
