Job Title: Legal / Human Resources & Administration Officer – SACCO


Required by a Top Tier Deposit Taking Sacco, based in Nairobi
Primary Responsibility: Reporting to the CEO, the Legal / HR and Administration Officer will be responsible for providing legal services and advice on legal matters as well as leadership and technical support in Human Resources matters.
Key Responsibilities

Legal Services
·         Provide legal advice and services to all components of the Business.
·         In liaison with approved external lawyers, handle Sacco’s cases at the courts
·         Draft and review Agreements / Contracts between the society and Third Parties.
Human Resources
·         Advice the management on HR matters, their implications and impact on business,
·         Review, implement and continuously monitor HR strategies,
·         Regularly review the HR policies and practices to reflect the business needs
·         General administration duties including management of outsourced services,
Requirements
·         LLB degree, Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and Practicing Certificate,
·         Qualifications in HR, Member of the IHRM (K) with a practicing certificate,
·         Five (5) years’ experience in a similar role,
·         Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, negotiation skills and also able to handle pressure and work in a team.

Job Title: Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – SACCO
Required by a Top Tier Deposit Taking Sacco, based in Nairobi
Primary Responsibility: Provide executive assistance, secretarial, administrative and logistical support to the CEO’s office. In addition, Officer will be the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all matters pertaining to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
·         Manage, coordinate and maintain CEO’s calendar including appointments,
·         Organize and facilitate internal and external meetings on behalf of the CEO,
·         Organize CEO’s travel arrangements and logistics i.e. flights, visas and accommodation,
·         Handle incoming correspondence to the CEO’s office and ensure they reach the intended receipts,
·         Provide secretarial services to the CEO including typing and transcribing, drafting correspondence and reports.
·         Coordinate senior management meetings, distribute agenda, take and circulate the minutes as well as follow up on action plans,
·         Prepare various reports and presentations as may be required by the CEO from time to time,
·         Coordinate Board meetings including ensuring reports are prepared and circulated to Board members.
·         Supervise support staff attached to the CEO office, maintain records efficiently and in a confidential manner.
Requirements
·         Bachelor’s degree in business related field and Diploma in Secretarial studies,
·         At least 5 years’ experience,
·         Bilingual (English & French) and proficiency in the use of MS Office,
·         Strong office management, administration and problem-solving skills,
·         Strong decision-making capability and ability to handle confidential information,
·         Team-player, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Title: Procurement Officer – SACCO
Required by a Top Tier Deposit Taking Sacco, based in Nairobi
Primary Responsibility: Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Officer will be responsible for ensuring adherence to the established procurement standards, regulations, procedures and that the process is competitive and transparent.
Key Responsibilities
·         Provide technical advice on procurement activities to procuring entities within the Sacco
·         Plan and manage all procurement and contractual aspects of projects of significant complexity.

·         Supervise preparation and distribution of invitations to tender and manage the entire tendering process.
·         Establish and maintain a framework for processing requests in accordance with the established procurement policy and manual
·         Maintain the data in the ICT system.
·         Oversee adherence to contractual agreements, recommend amendments and advice vendors and users on contractual rights and obligations, coordinate all phases of negotiation of disputes arising from contracts
·         Inventory management and inspection of delivered goods to ensure conformity to agreed specifications
·         Secretary to the Tender Evaluation Committee, Disposal Committee and Procurement Committee
Requirements
·         Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Procurement and professional Certifications in procurement i.e. KISM, CIPS
·         5 years’ experience
·         Knowledge of Public Procurement & Disposal Act, INCOTERMS and international business practices.
·         Knowledge of contract law and expertise in handling complex contract issues,
·         Excellent report writing, problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills

Job Vacancy: ICT Security Officer – SACCO
Required by a Top Tier Deposit Taking Sacco, based in Nairobi
Primary Responsibility: Reporting to ICT Manager, the Officer will be responsible for securing the Sacco ICT Systems through continuous risk assessment and development of risk mitigation mechanism.
Key Responsibilities
·         Develop and maintain the information security policy, standards and guidelines,
·         Regularly conduct security audits on ICT infrastructure, to assess the strength of its current security arrangements and potential vulnerabilities, make recommendations and follow up on implementation,
·         Provide Information Security guidance, documentation and training,
·         Maintain the information security risk register and carry out actions to mitigate the risks identified,
·         Conduct planned compliance reviews and ensure any gaps are addressed,
·         Facilitate information security awareness and training for stakeholders,
·         Investigate any suspected and actual security incidents, prepare relevant reports, recommendations and follow up on implementation,
·         Respond promptly to IT security incidents, gather and preserve evidence,
·         Liaise with external security agencies where required and provide any information requested,
·         Works closely with the Head of ICT to ensure adherence to the Sacco’s information Security policies and procedures.
Requirements
·         Degree in Computer Science or a related field from a recognised University, CISA, SQL, and CISM Certifications. ITIL certification is an added advantage,
·         At least 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity at a Financial Institution,
·         Solid knowledge of various information security management frameworks, excellent investigation, SQL and Network skills
·         Problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to deliver change.
