Front Office Officer / Receptionist


The position holder shall be responsible for handling the front office reception and administration duties at the game lodge.
Key Responsibilities
·         Arranging the reception area and ensuring a homely professional image;
·         Receiving guests at the Lodge and directing them appropriately;
·         Deal with customer enquiries and complaints escalating where necessary;


·         Maintaining the office diary and work plan to ensure minimum disruptions;
·         Making outward bound telephone calls and receiving inbound telephone calls;
·         Handling customer inquiries and sorting and distribution of mail;
·         Liaising with other departments like housekeeping, bar, restaurant to ensure clients get unforgettable hospitality experience;
·         Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the management from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience
·         A holder of at least a Certificate in Customer Service/Public Relations/ Client Relations or Front Office from a recognized institution;
·         A Diploma in the above or other related field will be an added advantage;
·         Minimum 1- 2 years’ relevant experience in a hospitality concern.
·         Excellent telephone skills;
·         Proficiency in MS office suite;
·         Experienced working in high pressure environments.

Our client, a Game Lodge in the Mount Kenya Tourism Circuit is seeking to recruit professionals to meet its staffing needs.
Cooks
2 Positions
The cooks will be responsible for preparing both Buffet and Ala Carte meals for residents and visitors to the lodge as required or as per the days menu.
Key Responsibilities
·         Preparing menus for different meals;
·         Preparing meals as per the days menu;
·         Requesting for requirements to the kitchen;

·         Ensuring the Kitchen is well stocked and serviced;
·         Ensuring cleanliness hygiene of the kitchen area.
Qualifications and Experience
·         Hold at least a Certificate in food and beverages or other relevant qualification;
·         At least one year working experience in a busy kitchen;
·         Creativity in meal preparation and presentation;
·         A team player able to work well with other people.
·         Mature and responsible person.

Waiters / Waitress
3 Positions
They will be responsible for providing service for food and drinks to visitors and residents at the lodge.
Key Responsibilities
·         Preparing and arranging the service area;
·         Taking orders from customers for food and drinks;
·         Serving customers with their orders for food and drinks;
·         Ensuring customer comfort and happiness;
·         Providing a friendly service that delights customers;
·         Billing customers for food and drinks they take;
·         Clearing the table after customers are done;
·         Assisting in other duties in the service area.
Qualifications and Experience
·         Hold at least a Certificate in Food and Beverages Service;
·         At least one year working experience in a busy lodge/restaurant/hotel;
·         A friendly and warm personality wit good interpersonal attributes;
·         Professional in language, approach and dressing;
·         Enthusiastic, approachable and easy going character;
·         Neat and well presented with a natural smile;
·         A team player able to work well with other people.
