WHAT YOU’LL DO
Our Supply Chain team brings materials from around the world to our factory, where they’re crafted into furniture that make thousands of families happy. Moko’s Supply Chain Manager will grow our supply chain apace with the company’s product development and manufacturing plans. You’ll manage and grow a strategic global supplier network and ensure systems and processes are in place to meet growing procurement needs.
THE ROLE IN BRIEF
Lead Supply Chain Growth and Development
• Ensure supply chain systems, processes and team capacity are apace with company growth
• Proactively grow the company’s supplier network for key materials to mitigate risk and keep pace with growing demand; identify and attend relevant trade fairs and conduct overseas factory visits
• Keep up-to-date with global market changes relevant to our key product lines
• Develop sourcing plans to accommodate increasingly complex sales and manufacturing needs
Ensure Continuous Cost Optimization
• Regularly identify and evaluate opportunities for reducing costs while maintaining high level of quality
• Identify and evaluate new suppliers for existing products in search of enhanced value for money
Oversee the day-to-day Supply Chain Management
• Manage a small team responsible for global and local procurement, sourcing and import functions
• Ensure appropriate targets are in place and are being consistently met by the supply chain team

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Our Business Systems Analyst will live in a world where systems and data meet the reality of a 200+ person team working to bring better living to millions. You’ll be constantly thinking about how our teams can work more effectively toward a shared vision.
To make this happen, you’ll dive deep into the process of our day to day work, understanding how things work and how they can be done better. This week you’ll whip up a Google Sheets tool for our supply chain team that tracks the thousands of tons of raw material we import annually, showing them where they can best focus their efforts to reduce clearance delays. Next week you’ll take a deep dive into our production data, helping our Head of Manufacturing answer the question of how to adjust raw material formulations to make more affordable products.
THE ROLE IN BRIEF
Build tools that help our teams run optimally
• Understand key business processes within and across teams and envision how we can better measure their performance and streamline their execution
• Collaboratively build tools with the teams who will use them
• Keep it simple to maximize your impact – we’ve found a Google Sheet with plugins and advanced formulas often works better than a complex piece of new software
Listen to the data and let everyone know what it’s saying
• Build dashboards that instantly show teams and leaders how they’re performing and what needs their attention
• Analyze data with our leadership team to inform strategic decision making and determine where we should focus efforts for maximum impact on the company’s performance
• Connect finance, manufacturing, operational data to draw fresh insights that help us more effectively achieve our goals
• Lead efforts to infuse data-driving decision making in our culture, lead training, presentations and one-on-ones which show our team of 200+ the power of data to improve our work

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Moko’s Head of Operations & Supply Chain is responsible for scaling our supply chain and distribution to reach millions of customers. We’re looking for a self-driven and analytical leader with the ability to direct and grow our operations team and systems toward this goal
You’ll be excited to solve big problems like building out a local network of contract manufactured furniture suppliers and delivering smiles to thousands of customers each month. You’ll be obsessed with order and efficiency, creating, and improving systems to organize and streamline the work of your team as it expands.
THE ROLE IN BRIEF

• Manage and expand a network of the best suppliers in Kenya and around the world – for factory raw materials and contract manufactured furniture products.
• Define and implement quality standards and controls to ensure we receive the top-quality materials and products every time.
• Level-up our inventory management, making stock outs a thing of the past.
• Ensure a scalable, diverse supply base which delivers increasing volumes as we continue to grow.
Make WOW deliveries at scale every time
• Manage and grow our consumer and B2B distribution operations to efficiently deliver every order on time – from 800 to 7,000 home deliveries per month within the next two years.
• Make home deliveries – a major touch point with our customers – a smiley Moko experience.
• Run one of the most efficient delivery operations East Africa has ever seen – operating within cost per unit volume and cost per product targets.
Keep & secure a happy home for Moko
• Ensure strong systems and SOPs are in place for all inventory movements – every warehouse passes regular stock audits with flying colours.
• Coordinate environment, health and safety initiatives across the company, ensuring high standards are adhered to in order to achieve a safe work environment.
• Ensure strong facility management and security protocols in place throughout our warehouse and factory facilities.

• Serve on our Senior Leadership Team, setting organization-wide strategy and coordinating with other functional leads.
• Invest in coaching and development of your team, growing their capacity and raising up the next generation of Moko leaders.
• Maintain a high-performance culture, setting ambitious targets and rewarding outstanding accomplishment.

• You have deep experience in supply chain and distribution, including international procurement.
• You are a strong leader, with experience leading a team of 30+ individuals through a period of growth or change.
• You have a proven track record of motivating and developing your direct reports toward outstanding results.
• You have experience developing and implementing operational systems within an organization, and value the structure and predictability they bring.
• You have a track record of nurturing strong relationships with suppliers and internal ‘customers’.
