About the Position
As a Technical Lead you will work with engineering, product
management and senior leaders to introduce and embed a world-class product
development and architecture in the organization
Responsibilities
The specific responsibilities of the Technical Lead include:
·
Provide direct day-to-day
architectural and technology problem-solving, coaching, direction and guidance
to product teams in a start-up like environment under Agile guidelines
·
Promote and maintain engineering best
practices such as test-driven development and continuous integration and
delivery
·
Evaluate and identify appropriate
technology stacks and platforms, including web application frameworks and cloud
providers
·
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of
technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software
development best practices by attending relevant conferences, reading widely
and being active in tech communities
·
Partner with wider organization to
ensure compliance, regulatory and audit and architecture requirements are met
·
Coach technical leads and providing
ad-hoc problem-solving support, including hands-on pairing when needed
·
Collaborate with and support
technical leads to ensure high quality code across the teams
·
Facilitate and deliver training and
knowledge sharing sessions for engineers
·
Work together with technical leads
supporting the engineers for all people related matters
Qualifications
As the ideal candidate for this role you have:
·
8+ years of total experience including
5+ years in engineering and technology roles working with product development
teams, delivering and building digital products
·
Wide experience and understanding of
architecture in terms of solution, data and integration and experience in
building technical architecture chapters
·
Experience working with teams using
DevOps and continuous delivery with focus on delivering rapid customer value
·
Experience in product development for
web and mobile with hands-on experience coding
·
Experience in Agile software development
methodologies, processes, and tools
·
Familiarity with information security
vulnerabilities and risk management practices
·
Knowledge of Agile software
development practices
·
Knowledge of the insurance market,
trends in digital and opportunities that can bring maximum business value
·
Bachelor’s degree required, advanced
degree a plus- with professional certifications

Job Purpose
The role is responsible for carrying out audits by providing
independent, objective assurance and consultancy services in order to improve
the group overall operations, with specific emphasis on the controls,
governance and processes.
Responsibilities
·
Reviewing various business processes
and documents to check for controls and compliance with the company policies
which includes Physical Asset verification and conducting systems audits. This
involves:
o Conducting interviews during audits ,
o Preparing working papers for the various audits
o Developing and administering surveys,
o Summarizing audit issues.
·
Identifying all risks including
people, technology and process risks, and evaluate the efficiency and
effectiveness of controls;
·
Drafting and communicating the
results of audit via written reports and oral presentations to management;
·
Following up with HOD’s to check on
the implementation of the audit recommendations;
·
Training and guiding the Audit
Assistants in the execution of the audit plan;
·
Attending and observing auctions of
salvage vehicles to ensure compliance to procedures;
·
Conducting data extraction, analysis,
and security reviews utilizing software tools;
·
Performing special
audits/investigations on an adhoc basis.
Qualifications
Academic Qualification
·
Bachelors’ degree in Accounting /
Finance.
Professional Qualification
·
CPA (K) or ACCA

Business Developer Job (Meru)
Purpose
This position is responsible for developing quotations,
scrutinizing proposals, risk assessment and acceptance, renewal follow ups and
policy documentation with the aim of enforcing effective credit control,
delivery of set loss ratio and building and maintaining customer relationships.
Responsibilities
·
Sourcing and procuring of business in
line with the set targets/budgets;
·
Addressing client/customer enquiries and
feedback within the timelines stipulated in service charter and/or SLAs signed
with respective clients;
·
Reviewing performance of risks
through loss ratio reports for both new and existing business;
·
premium collection;
·
Preparing weekly and monthly reports
giving details of individual performance on business acquired/lost and feedback
on market practices from customers;
·
Initiating and strengthening direct
business relationships with existing and prospective clients to achieve
performance targets;
·
Participating in company CSR and
brand building activities in liaison with other departments.

Developing and nurturing business
relationships with clients and intermediaries
