Tanathi Water Works Development Agency (TAWWDA) (formerly known
as Tanathi Water Services Board), is a State Corporation under the Ministry of
Water, Sanitation and Irrigation created under section 65 of the Water Act 2016
and established vide Kenya Gazette Supplement No.59, Legal notice no.27 of 26th April 2019.
TAWWDA is responsible for the development, maintenance and
management of National Public water and sewerage works in the Counties of
Kitui, Machakos, Makueni and Kajiado.

SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT OFFICER, JOB GRADE TAWWDA
5 – 1 POST
Job Description:
Senior Human Resource Management Officer, Job Grade TAWWDA 5,
reports to the Manager, Human Resources Management and Administration.
The successful candidate will be employed in this position on a
permanent and pensionable basis.
Responsibilities:
·
Analyzing staffing levels and making
proposals for succession planning; analyzing utilization of Human Resources and
advising on proper deployment;
·
Monitoring implementation of human
resource management and administration policies, rules and regulations;
·
Managing the payroll;
·
Analyzing staff career guidelines and
making proposals for career development;
·
Interpreting and implementing human
resource and administration regulations;
·
Preparing reports on the
implementation of performance management and performance appraisal system;
·
Development of divisional work plans;
·
Initiating, developing, updating and
maintaining human resource and administration data base;
·
Spearheading and advising on
appropriate training programmes;
·
Undertaking training needs
assessment; and xi. Monitoring and evaluating the impact of training programmes
on performance and service delivery.
Qualifications:
The candidate must:-

Have served in the grade of Human
Resource Management Officer for a at least three (3) years in the public
service or in a reputable organization;
·
Have Bachelor’s Degree in any of the
following disciplines: – Human Resource Management/Development/Planning, or
equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
·
Have attended a Supervisory Course
lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution;
·
Have CPS part I or CHRP part I;
·
Be registered as a member to a
relevant professional body;
·
Have a Certificate in computer
professional from a recognized institution; and
·
Meets the provision of Chapter Six of
the Constitution.

Job Description:
Senior Office Assistant, Job Grade TAWWDA 9, reports to the
Administration Officer.
The successful candidate will be employed in this position on a
permanent and pensionable basis.
Responsibilities:

Cleaning offices,
machines/equipment/apparatus;
·
Maintenance of general cleanliness
around the offices by collection and disposal of litter;
·
Collecting and disposing waste
including papers and ensuring general proper sanitation;
·
Dusting the office and ensuring
habitable office conditions;
·
Moving or carrying office equipment,
furniture and ensuring orderly arrangement;
·
Dispatching letters and files;
·
Preparing office tea and performing
general gardening including landscaping, lawn scarping, cutting grass, weeding,
and pruning.
Qualifications:

Manager (Strategy Compliance & Corporate Communication)
JOB GRADE TAWWDA 3 – 1 POST
The Manager, Strategy, Compliance and Corporate Communication,
Job Grade TAWWDA 3, is answerable to the Chief Manager, Corporate Services for
Corporate Planning & Strategy, Compliance, Risk Management & Quality
Control and Corporate Communication.
The successful candidate will be employed in this position on a
permanent and pensionable basis.
Responsibilities
·
Coordinating and reviewing the
Board’s Strategic Plan and ensuring that it is consistent with national plans;
·
Approving Medium Term
Expenditure Framework (MTEF) in liaison with other departments;
·
Approving research proposals;
·
Coordinating socio-economic studies
on TAWWDA;
·
Co-ordinating the preparation and
implementation of the organisation performance contract;
·
Conducting prefeasibility and
feasibility studies for programmes and projects;
·
Promoting and creating a culture of
innovation in TAWWDA;
·
Monitoring, evaluating and reporting
on the implementation of Board programmes, projects and activities
·
Quality assurance of the Authority
products and services and maintenance of the Quality Management System in
accordance with the applicable Standard;
·
Carry out internal audits and
follow-up audits;
·
Prepare and monitor implementation of
annual budgets for resource allocation and control;
·
Coordinating the preparation of
speeches, media briefs and TAWWDA’s newsletters;
·
Sourcing for appropriate media to
disseminate information on activities of the TAWDDA; and
·
Ensuring appropriate feedback
mechanisms are in place.
Qualifications

Economist/ Principal Compliance and Risk Management Officer or in a relevant
and comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) years;

Have Bachelor’s degree in any of the
following disciplines:- Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or its equivalent
qualification from a recognized institution;
·
Have Master’s degree in any of the
following disciplines:- Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business
Administration or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
·
Have attended a Leadership Course not
lasting less than four (4)weeks from a recognized institution;
·
Have Proficiency in computer
applications skills;
·
Have demonstrated profession

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual
sectional reports;

Implementation of the performance
management system in the section;

Participate in departmental meetings;

Identify water and sewerage
projects including those sponsored by development partners;

Design of projects;

Participate in preparation tenders
documents;

of Kenya (EBK) as a Professional Engineer;
