Job Title: Renal
Nurse
Location: Kisii
Work Type: Full

Duties and Responsibilities include
but are not limited to:
·
Setting, monitoring and maintaining
excellent standards of nursing care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary
team working in renal unit;
·
Assessing, formulating, planning and
implementing evidence-based nursing care;
·
Initiation of dialysis, patient and
machine monitoring during dialysis and termination of the dialysis procedure;
·
Maintaining personal contact with
patients, relatives and caregivers while giving necessary education;
·
Ensuring that nursing procedures are
carried out in accordance with the hospital policies;
·
Carrying out patient audits to
improve client patient care;
·
Ensuring a safe environment for care
of patients;
·
Ensuring documentation of all the
interventions and nursing outcomes is done;
·
Prepare monthly reports for the renal
unit;
Qualification and Requirements
·
Diploma in Community health nursing
from Kenya Medical Training College or any other recognized Institution;
·
Higher diploma in Renal Care from a
recognized institution;
·
Registration Certificate issued by
the Nursing Council of Kenya;
·
Valid Practicing License from the
Nursing Council of Kenya.
Job Title: Nutritionist
Location: Kisii
Work Type: Volunteer
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited
to:
·
Develop nutrition plans and implement
interventions based on knowledge of patient’s current health.
·
Deliver client nutrition
recommendations to physicians, nurses, aides and the Kitchen In-charge.
·
Provide nutrition education and
counseling to patients.
·
Implement personalized, age-specific
and culturally appropriate nutrition strategies.
·
Conducting dietary surveys, food
research and clinical trials.
·
Complete monthly, quarterly and
yearly assessments of clients and adapt nutrition plans as needed.
·
Prepare and present monthly reports
on the departmental progress.
Qualification and Requirements
·
Degree / Diploma in Nutrition and
Dietetics from a recognized institution.
·
Must be licensed by the KNDI
·
Good communication skills including
verbal, presentation and written.
·
Capability to multitask and work
independently.
